"they took our CDLs away" well then you are breaking the law as hot shot trucking also requires a CDL since your truck and trailer will weigh over 26,000lbs not to mention the weight of the cargo.

The truck and trailer empty would be under 26,000 probley 18,000 at most so you could haul without a cdl depending on what it is
