It’s a master of going Off-Road…no midsize truck can go where that Gladiator can. Also no other midsize truck can be cheaply and easily modified to run big tires than a Gladiator. Try putting 38 inch tires on a Tacoma…

Last year I bought a new 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD off-road, liked a lot of the features of that truck, but it was NOT comfortable for me, I came from a 2012 Jeep JKU Rubicon, the Jeep had more interior room, better stereo, better seating angle. sold the tacoma after 1500 miles.. I was glad I still had my Jeep... Now I sold that JKU and bought a 23 Jeep Gladiator Overland... I love it..... I guess I really am a Jeep guy.

What part of Arizona do you live in, looks similar to my area (Bullhead City). Which Tundra had the squeaks and rattles (23 or 24/both? I was looking at a Tundra but decided to go with the Ford F150/the Tundras reputation for rattles was a big part of the reason I went with the ford. Do you notice and rattles or other noises in the Gladiator. I am looking at a two door Wrangler Rubicon with the Manuel transmission. Anyway enjoy your Gladiator.

Im in a town called Sahuarita. It's south of Tucson. The 23 and 24 had noises. Also the bed makes noises on rough roads. My 21, 19 and 2008 tundra were dead quiet. The Gladiator has been good. The only noises are the front tops a little bit but that's to be expected when they are all removable. . I'm very happy with this thing.

There is a 2023 Mojave near me in Hydro Blue that I love. It's $59k MSRP but about $47k after the discounts. Only options it has are LED lights and auto trans which is all I would want. I'd love to buy it but I already have 6 cars and don't want to part with anything. I go to look at it sitting lonely by itself in the back of the dealer lot when I'm driving by the dealer on the weekends. Sounds crazy but I do : )

@OdysseyOffroad 3 ай бұрын
Surprisingly enough or maybe not surprising there's a lot of vehicles that have issues with leaky back windows. Dodge Rams Chevy Silverados even Fords and I think it's just all due to the fact that all these new rear windows are encased in a plastic frame and they don't use metal window frames anymore and the plastic frames tend to develop cracks and start leaking. It's an easy enough fix though even out of warranty some black urethane and you're all set. i had a 2020 trailboss silverado and rear window leaked with 2k miles on it.

We have been running the AEV 2 inch lift with 2 inch wheel spacers with factory wheels and tires for 22 months and 22,000 miles with zero problems. I didn't realize I had a twin. I feel the same way about my trucks as you do. I worry about getting door dings, getting it wet in the rain, etc. Since 2015 I have had 3 Colorados, 2 Silverados, 1 Wrangler and 2 Gladiators. My current Gladiator is a '21 Sport S. I've been kicking around getting a Mojave because it is supposed to be the smoothest riding Gladiator. Have you ever driven a Sport S or Rubicon Gladiator to compare how they are driving/comfort wise compared to your new Mojave? My biggest concern is I have everything I want on my current Gladiator, all the accessories and mods that I like. So I'm not sure if it is worth trading in for a Mojave just because it might be a tad smoother ride and then have to buy all the mods I like all over again. I haven't had a chance yet to test drive a Mojave, waiting for the weather to get better, but hope to soon. Thanks.
@OdysseyOffroad

Thanks for the comment. I would say unless you're itching to get the rear locker you'd probably be better off just getting a good high-end set of Fox shocks or falcon reservoir shocks on your sport S. There's obviously other things that are different but the ride is mostly dictated by the shocks and the springs which are easily upgradeable on yours.

I just traded my F150 in for a Gladiator Mojave, I pick it up on Saturday. My heart was set on the Rubicon but after test driving both it was night and day. The Mojave hands down is a way better ride. I was literally vibrating in the Rubicon seat. My wife was complaining as well. I wanted the Rubicon so bad that I took them both out again for a test drive and couldn't get past how much better the Mojave was. If you don't plan on hardcore rock crawling then you'll never miss the front locker and disconnect. You can add sway bar disconnects if you really want them and for most people you won't need the front locker.

The faulty spark plug thing I've heard before, not sure what the reason is for that. I wonder if they just had a bad batch of spark plugs or something. Hopefully you'll have no major issues moving forward.

Watch for creaking Fox shocks, was covered under warranty but took 6 months to get them. Fox shocks require maintenance which most people don't know.
@OdysseyOffroad
@OdysseyOffroad 3 ай бұрын
@@peterc8979 that is correct. They're 100% rebuildable. Most people know that. This is my second Mojave I had a 21 also. On both of them the rear shocks on a small bumps make a little bit of a popping sound. At some point I'll probably replace them with falcons or higher end fox adjustable shocks.

I swapped my JTR for a JTM a few weeks ago... Dude.. the Mojave is insane and needs racing harnesses, i cant handle its true top speed off road abilities with out a harness... They shoulda came with em..🤣🤣 It is not anstep down from a Rubicon if you want to go faster on trails.. use common sense, Fast depends on the trail..im talking beyond Rubicons capabilities faster... Youll destroy a Rubicon trying to keep up with a Mojave, its a darn stock trophy truck.. i also need 10 ply tires that can handle Mauling Over Obstacles.. 🤘😎 im thinking Method Bead Grips and a nice set o Mickey Thompson..

@@OdysseyOffroad when me and my buddy was testing this thing out I kept getting faster and faster on some serious trails, that I couldn't get over 20 mph in the Rubicon, we ended up hitting 35 and 50 plus going airborne.. it sounds extreme, because the truck is.. my dad also taught me growing up that if the vehicle didn't scare you, then you should be really scared.. This truck doesn't scare me because it handles so well on rough stuff so I have to be extra careful in learning how this thing behaves and what it's actual limitations are at speed...

Nice Gladiator Mojave. I keep losing my mind over same decision. Nov 2022 I went from Tesla Model Y performance to 2022 Gladiator Mojave, Sting Gray. Loved it. Tried RAM 1500 and loved 5.7 HEMI V8, roomier, quieter. Traded Gladiator for 2022 RAM 1500 Laramie 6'4" bed. Nice truck, but then wanted 2024 RAM 1500 LIMITED Night Edition Black after only two months with 2022 Laramie, sept last year traded for limited 1500 RAM LIMITED night edition. 5.7 HEMI V8 eTorque, Air Suspension, 5'7" bed, 360 degree cameras, RAM boxes etc.., digital dash, heads up display. Love it, but put lots of money down on trade and payments are high. Octane 89 gas not always fun filling up. Love the room in 1500 RAM's. But I cannot get Gladiator out of my mind. Looking at 2024 Mojaves now, sarge green. Too much trade loss from 2024 RAM Limited. I miss Mojave. Is smaller, nosier. Just something about the looks and suspension handling on American roads is cooler.

The video is chaptered so you could have skipped ahead to the Mojave part if you paid attention to that and did not need to listen to the first half of the video.
