Why I sold my Forester

In this episode of Dirtcheapdaily, Aaron rambles on for a long time, cleans the forester, fixes the brakes, and then the forester Broke!

The lower control arm failure is actually a recall item. It was issued in 2011. Could have been replaced for free. Oh well.

This one had already had the recall done to it and it rusted out again. I tried getting Subaru to do something to it for a couple weeks before I actually got around to doing it myself.

The damn center console is just a pain to take apart. I skinned all the bezels with carbon fiber, but forgot to put the leds in the heater controls, so not looking forward to taking that apart again.

Looking at the plate. You guys just keep letting the snow removal guys destroy your cars. Salt = broken lower control arms, and rusted bodies way before the end of a cars life. Stop salting. Did you sell it?...or was that just Click Bait?

yup, its gone. I'd rather have salty roads than try and drive on straight ice for 9 months out of the year. lol
