The extra battery is so awesome and you get used to the big phone pretty quickly too For example I used to use a iPhone 12 and I went to the 14 pro max (using it now) At the end of the day my iPhone 12 was around 20-10%. Pro max? I could wake up the next day and have around 30%. A near full 24hours (and sometimes more than 24hours) without plugging it in

ordered the 16 Pro Max today. Got a case yesterday from Amazon to see how it fit in the hand. I can tell you since I put my 13 Pro Max in the case for comparison, there is BARLEY ANY DIFFERENCE. My 13 pro Max stayed in the case but you could see the SMALLEST gap near the top. Don't fear the increase in size.

Well Greg, we'll see. I pre-ordered (plus Apple-Care) this afternoon and will pick it up at the Apple Store next weekend. I hope neither of us are disappointed. What I figured out is that when Apple said the iPhone 16 will be available in stores on Sept 20, what Apple means is they shipped a number of iPhone 16 phones in various configurations - available on the twentieth. There are three Apple stores within an hour's drive from here. Only one of those stores will have the particular configuration I want in stock - and only in a different color than I had originally asked for. Obviously color has nothing to do with how well the iPhone performs, so any color will do. I thought I would have to wait several weeks for the phone to be shipped to me. Online, Apple says it will take three weeks if I want it shipped.

I currently have a 13 pro max with 128gb and I've only used ~100gb, and I've had it since release. Honestly 256gb is more than enough. Though I am just a regular Joe and have 2 other apple devices (Ipad pro and MB air). I think you'll be fine with 256gb, but depends on your needs of course.

I deferred upgrading to the iPhone 16 Pro as some reviewers mentioned the quality of photos was not so great and actually worse than what you would get using an iPhone 15. I keep hoping for a day when you get photos of the same quality as from a DLSR but that day isn't here yet. I did buy an Apple Watch series 10 as I never had one before so Apple still got my money.

Having bought an iPhone 16 pro myself aware of how good of a product it undeniably is,… it honestly seems you would have bought anything apple could have released. This is simply an incremental upgrade, next years pro max will also get a better camera, better specs and better battery life because that’s what the pro max is there for, there’s absolutely nothing groundbreaking this year in any of the iPhones. As I said, I got an iPhone 16 pro coming from a 12 pro max and I’m only doing so cause a family member is getting my 12 pro max as it was working not just perfectly, but amazingly well, 3 years later with 88% battery health, great camera and still very, very fast in everyday tasks.

I've had every new iPhone and I still prefer the shape and feel of the 11 pro(and I still use it), nobody honestly needs these upgrades. There can be a case if you do a lot of low light photography but other than that I'm sad that they're all boxier and bulky with magsafe cases compared to the X/XS/11 pro

13ProMax here. I get no lag or stutters, 250 gb storage at 60% capacity, and still have 80% battery life. So I decided to keep it, and wait for next year’s 12gb RAM iphone. But I will buy my kid a standard iphone 16. Which is a good buy with an a18 chip, 8 gb RAM.

Ny new Desert iPhone 16 Pro Max comes on Friday too. In spite of my resolve not to upgrade my 14PM, I gave in. I opted for the iPhone 16 ProMax with 256 GB storage. My current phone has under 60GB stored, so I thought 256 was enough. I'm beginning to question that decision. I rarely take videos, but you never know. However, I opted for the AT&T Next Year Anytime update program, (at an extra $10 a month...), so if I find I'm running out of space, I can trade it in for more storage. I've kind of resolved myself that I am just renting a phone every year, rather than buying it outright. Damn you Apple & AT&T marketing!

There is not much else they can add. I might be waiting for a Photonic Quantum iPhone before I upgrade next. As my iPhone XS still lives strong with 72% battery health at 6 years of age, though the power socket stopped holding lightning connector in place this July and could only Qi charge it. So I opted to get the iPhone 16 pro max 512GB for the same price I paid for the XS 512GB going from 30€/month to 35€/month. The mobile provider only had the 512GB in the max size and other providers could not compete with the overall cost over the 2 years contract; I save about 350€ than buying it direct and paying 30€/month out of contract.

I ordered the 16 Pro Max this morning an all the new features are great but you're right the battery life is one of the top reasons I thought my 15 Pro Max had great battery life at the end of my day I’d have 20-30% battery an as soon as I updated to iOS 17.5 battery life went down hill now about 2 hours before the end of my day I have to charge from day one of iOS 17.5 battery kept getting worse battery is life is at 95% but it was at 100% before iOS 17.5 Great video as always

I have no reason for a Max this year with all the including features Pro will get. This year was going to be my first Max iPhone but anyway beyond the 6.7 screen sizes I tend to ditch for smaller phones. Hop you're happy with your purchase.

No thank you. I got myself an iPhone 16 Plus 512 GB because I figured I am *NOT* a serious photographer with a cellphone and frankly, I need the iPhone mostly to listen to music/podcasts and peruse social media (which I don't need 120 Hz refresh either).

I usually upgrade every 2 years but I think I’m going to carry my 14 Pro for 1 more year. There are some nice improvements with the 16 Pro but just not quite enough for me and the way I use my devices. I like the 5X camera coming to the standard size Pro and I’m sure the other cameras are going to be better but cameras on smartphones have been pretty good for a while now

"Battery degrades in a few months" ... what? My 11 pro max is at 92% battery health almost 5 years into it. I will get a 16 pro max only for battery life and raw speed, everything else being irrelevant, but first tests and comparisions are required. It must surpass the 15pro max by a good bit to be worth it imo.

Yeah, I just got the TB option bc my 256GB model runs out and I never want to see that bullshit again. I have no idea where all this data came from, but it just happens for me. It seems frivolous, but if I pay monthly for cloud storage over the 3ish years I’ll have it, it will just come out the same anyways. Might as well have it local.

I just ordered the 16pro max in white 250GB to replace my now soon to be obsolete 7Plus so I shouldn’t be upgrading for another 8 years. Battery life bigger screen and a better camera / video were the reasons as on the 1st October I’m off touring around SE Asia and ending up in Australia for the Boxing Day test at the MCG 2025.

Still don’t get why people ordering a 1TB iPhone. I ordered it today with 256gb.. why not using an external hard drive which you also need for all video functions. Easier and cheaper especially when you editing on a mac
