As a father myself that has had the great fortune of spending time with them as they grew into their teens, I can wholeheartedly appreciate what your'e doing. Money can always be made, memories of our children's youth...well that cannot be repeated. I for one, have missed your videos and content. Looking forward to what the future holds for you and your family Justin, always forward!

Thanks Lee, and that’s really reassuring. I’ve already enjoyed the time I have had, have been driving them to school almost every day. I’m really looking forward to it.

@@JustVoss Hey Justin, you're doing the right thing. I was a stay at home dad for 13yrs (here in Charlotte), while running a side business and a non-profit. Covid put my wife working from home and allowed me to return to the shop full time, which I needed for my own sanity. Long story short--balance is hard to harness, but make family the keystone you build everything else around. Best, Andrew Thiessen

I left the car dealership in 2004, bought out one of our vendors and went on my own. My daughter was not quite 18 months old, my son was born later that year. Working for yourself isn't for everyone but if you do it right, you'll never miss a play, game, school event, etc. And it's worth it. Congrats, you are definitely doing the right thing. Money isn't everything. I've almost never missed any event my kids have had. Now the daughter is first year college and my son is a HS junior. He wrestles and I never miss a match, and I won't next year, either. No regrets at all.

That’s awesome, it’s definitely not for everyone but everything you said is the reason why I’m doing it.

@@JustVoss Yep, you only get one go-round with your kids. Gotta make the most of it because it seems like just a year or two ago both mine were in middle school...and now, it's almost over. Time flies, as they say

Justin....Great video and a better story. I can relate to your time in NASCAR. I spent over 23yrs in the US Army stationed at Ft. Bragg. I was always gone and away from my family and missed a lot of my two sons up bringing. I admire your dedication, commitment and the love you have for the sport of NASCAR. I am a huge fan of the sport and love watching the behind-the-scenes guys who make it happen. After my retirement of 23yrs (which was the hardest choice to make), I too had to change direction down an unknown path. I was always good with my hands and working on cars. So, with the support of my wife I purchased a 1941 ford Pickup with the hope of one day ripping around my small NH town. This past Xmas my wife bought a Tig welder and Plasma cutter and have learned a great deal from watching your Video's. Thank You and all the best.

Justin thank you for sharing your life with us! As a father myself who has had custody of my two kids (2&4) for the past 2 years and they haven’t talked to their mother in over a year. Made me greatfull to quit my job and be home raising my kids. I could never imagine not being there. You have definitely been an inspiration for me since the first video of yours I watched! So glad to see you’ll be back making more! Definitely looking forward to that! And best of luck with your future plans!

Definitely the right choice, especially since you've been thinking about doing your own stuff for a long time and the racing work seemed very unstable and nkt really the fun part of that industry. I worked with racing myself and definitely enjoyed the shop time mlre than track side work.

Cool story man! I come from a dirt track family myself and have a lot of good memories from the track and garage. It’s hard to not be into fab coming from that so here I am. That’s an amazing welding table man. I’m a bit envious. 👍🏻

Man I wish I would’ve know there was such a thing as the NASCAR Institute when I was young. I’ve welded for over 20 years, all types of welding and from fab shops & factory lines to traveling around the country welding pipe and boiler tubes. I always wanted to get involved in fabricating NASCAR’s, but not bad enough to find out how to get into l supposed lol.

Your video editing skills and scene setups are top notch, not to mention you have a subject matter that's pretty popular these days. I'm sure the time spent on all this is painful, but I would imagine it will get easier as your workflow becomes more routine and firms up. Good luck... As a parent I commend your choice to focus on family. That said, know that our culture is a monster with its jaws around our children. Be super diligent with who their friends are, where they go online, and what they are subjecting themselves to. Best thing is to actively fill their time with stuff you want them to learn and know. When they are old enough, make them part of the family business. Best wishes!
