Why I Stopped Watching Sports & How It Made Me a Multimillionaire

The timeliness of this is surreal. I told myself that I wouldn't allow myself to watch any basketball or football games live until or unless I reach my end of year goal. I had an epiphany last year after watching a game "my team" loss. I was ashamed and disgusted that I was that upset over another man's perceived failure. The goals I have set for myself right now honestly have drastically decreased the enjoyment of aimlessly watching sports.

brother, I so agree. I played soccer all my life at Elite level. I made the decision 12 months ago to go cold turkey on the beautiful game for these exact reasons. Great video bro

Yeah it’s fun to talk about with the boys and socialize in small group settings but the fight to get into games at such high price’s every year is an obvious sign telling you look idiot don’t go because it’s expensive and will screw your life up for a long time financially. Socializing isn’t that important. Watching it on TV is even so expensive it’s stupid but I get what it has to be these days. Unfortunately it’s not fair to everyone and it’s not fair to all taxpayers that pay for the stadiums, but don’t get to go. I’ve noticed working class has to work everyday and pay taxes so the rich can go to games and get their season tickets every year at discounted rates and get all these perks nobody else ever gets to have. I mean that’s my take. Not everyone gets to enjoy the fun. I live a mile away from the TDGarden and still have never been to a game there in the ten years I’ve lived in Massachusetts. No time or money and they charge way too much for seats and I’m not paying that much to go to a game. Especially not in playoffs. Even regular season vs a non playoff team it’s hellacious prices. Outrageous and absurdly stupid and unfair. Idk how anyone can afford to go even if by themselves? It’s flat out insane. Some people pay thousands and thousands of dollar’s for single event’s like how the hell is that even possible.

You are spot on because I have been having the same thoughts lately! I have even stopped watching TV shows and movies because the networks were making money off my vision but I need to use my time wisely for my vision.

I'm a Philadelphia Eagles fan, so I only watch the five minute highlight reels instead of spending hours in front of the TV.

@@YaketyYak-sp4wc Yeah, I was doing stuff for my business while the Super Bowl was on. I got over them losing in less than two minutes. When you have a purpose in life, frivolous stuff such as sports doesn't impact you.

Don't get me wrong, I love sports as much as the next guy. If sports analytics is your thing more power to you. What I'm saying is if you're trying to get free and build wealth, for me reducing the amount of time I spent watching sports freed up time and made a difference.
