Why I Support TEAM GREEN (Valid Reasons)

In this video I explain why team green is the right house to support. I believe everybody should be supporting team green and I give very good as to reasons why.

What Viserys wanted is of no consequence to the realm. People say he chose rhaenyra but apart from her personally being unfit to rule. It is as Otto says in one episode. "He bares the kings sword, the kings name, the kings crown. He bares every symbol of legitimacy". Aegon is unfit to rule also but has good people around him. Rhaenyra actually wants to put illegitimate children on the throne

Rhaenyra is no saint, also Daemon but so does the Blacks. The only reason why I DON'T support the Greens is because Alicent knew that she made a mistake in putting her son in the throne. Alicent knew that Viserys died upholding Rhaenyra's claim but she did nothing about it. She didn't correct the mistakes; instead, she let people die- that is her hypocrisy. Remember when she cut Rhaenyra in S1? "Forever upholding the kingdom, the family, the law..." If she is truly the righteous Queen that she claims to be, she will correct her mistakes to prevent the war. But what is she doing instead? Oh, hiding Cole underneath her cloak of righteousness.

Otto is the main reason behind it, Alicent and Cole had no true involvement in the crowning of Aegon, it would have happened without them. It was Otto that has always sought to put Aegon on the throne, he is the reason behind the war.

Rhanyera obviously started the whole thing. Naming the bastard sons heir to driftmark(they have no sea in their blood whatsoever) was disrespectful. The only reason she had any supporters whatsoever was because of the king. If the king had seen the truth for what it was and hadn't loved her blindly, she would've learnt her lessons. She was very much entitled. (Not to mention she didn't even want the throne for the better part of it)

@@zippy4green while that could be argued, the greens themselves already tore up the great council by the actions of Otto Hightower way back when he pushed Viserys to renounce Daemon as his heir (Daemon being the rightful heir via great council law at the time regardless of offensive statements about Viserys dead bub), meaning by the time Viserys has Aegon with Alicent, the precedent is already long thrown away (with Otto having been fully onboard with said throwing away). As such if the greens wish to use the great council as law, then not only are they massive hypocrites, but methinks Otto had best apologise to Daemon

Precedent, as you mention, is a GUIDING principle, it is not an unbreakable law. The Great Council of 101 AC set a precedent, not a mandate or statute. Do not forget that Viserys, as King, held the same sovereign authority as Jaehaerys before him. He was fully within his rights to alter the line of succession as he saw fit. The power to make and amend laws lies with the King. And as for Rhaenyra, the legitimacy of her children is a separate issue entirely. The throne’s claim is a matter of royal blood and the decree of the reigning monarch. Viserys had the right to name his heir, and he chose Rhaenyra, which was his prerogative. To question his authority on the basis of 'precedent' is to misunderstand the nature of royal power and feudalism.

Rhaenyra was a child. She got with criston after being groomed by her uncle, and then rejected by him after she began to idolize him. but she did not use criston any more than he r*ped her, he obviously had more experience being in his mid-20s while rhaenyra was 15. while yes she may have lied about daemon, that doesn't warrant alicent's years of hatred. alicent began resenting rhaenyra when she realized that rhaenyra could have sexual relations(or other things) with whomever she wanted and get away with it because her being royalty could make her immune to the consequences, and alicent never had the freedom to do so even though she had been good all her life and deserved that freedom. rhaenyra did lie about daemon but how does that make her a terrible person? she was not betrothed at the time; it would not have been illegal or any more immoral than the targaryen's incestuous family usually is. the greens were formed because otto was selfish and wanted his bloodline on the throne, not because of rhaenyra lying. otto had manipulated alicent for her whole life, and he decided to use her to put his grandchildren on the throne. both alicent AND rhaenyra were victims of otto. saying "rhaenyra started the war" is also an ambiguous statement. the beginning of the war was a chain of events, not a single one-sided action or decision. Lucerys was like 6 years old, he only used a knife because aemond picked up a rock after TAUNTING the velaryons about him stealing their mother's dragon the day after she died.

I'm on team green because Alicent and Aemond were good people turned sour by the blacks. Alicent stood up for Rhaenyra through her childhood just for Rhaenyra to lie to her face. I don't have horse in that race myself. I was black supporter but Daemon scenes in Harenhall destroyed him. Meetings of the riverlords should happen in episode 5 not now in 7th. WinterWolves should have already be in riverlands and everything should have been preoared for battle in that area. Now everything in last episode will be rushed and barely half deacent. Both episode 5 and 6 were bad but atleast ep 5 had reason to be slower because of things happened in 4th. Daemo and his voisions made me dislike his character. My only concern in war are, Ceraxes, Winter Wolves, Starks and Blackwoods and Hugh and Ulf and Vermithor and Silverwing. Rhaena scene with wild dragon in Vale was useless twice now. she should already found it and try to tame it

I became Team Green because the fandom of team black labelled anyone a green supporter is a misogynist and they never can admit the faults of rhaenyra and how they constantly dismissed daemon actions while hating otto at the same time. A) Rhaenyra is not terrible person - or at very least was not at moment Dance begun. She was kind, compassione and wise. If Greens let Rhaenyra rule, she would be very good queen. B) Yes. And? Time of desperation passed and all other potential heirs turned out to be incompetent.
