I have no expectation that Enscape will improve over time. The acquisition by Chaos was a huge step backwards for what was a very good software. Increasingly frequent bugs, a weird licensing system, price increases, lack of animated assets (which they've already said is impossible to implement). Enscape preferred to go the way of Lumion.

I still regretting not buying D5 when was lifetime licence. It was not fully translated and biggest problem was /is materials setting are stored in D5 file not sketchup file so you are not able to build material database in sketchup like vray or enscape.

My expectations when Chaos acquired Enscape were to implement Enscape engine in Vantage or make a merger between thes 2 RT renderers. In fact, it was ok still using Enscape to show clients faster visuals and walkthroughs before they make a decision going further with the project, to marketing phase where you transfer the model in professional rendering software like Corona/ Lumion/ D5. Personally I think that D5 has great potential and I'm using it as a placeholder for all third - Enscape-TM-Lumion. Its engine works very fine with high amounts of geometry, you can animate assets, arrange layers, add keyframes to layers, more intuitive material editing, ability to showcase PBR mats, it's amazing.

D5 Render might close the gap with Enscape on a future update, some of the features I expect are: -Revit Live Syncing. -Automatic round corner detection (afaik, as of now, you have to export separately a rounded wall for it to reflect properly, etc.) -Asset visualization in the CAD/3D/BIM software (this one might be trickier due to their vast library, they could opt by generating a low poly version of the assets using AI or something). -A More intuitive navigation interface (for example, how easy it is to walk/fly in Enscape by pressing the space bar.) And yeah, some of these features might be trickier to implement than others, but we know they can do it, because Enscape has done it.

D5 has slower process than escape so I will support enscape for the moment

But enscape will mess up your modelling scene. You need an extra work for layering and all vegetation not realistic. You need to import.

The stagnation in development of Enscape and lack of important features had killed Enscape for me 1 year back. I switched to D5 when D5 2.3 version was released and the upgrade in quality and features was overwhelming for me. Never regretted my choice.

@MelosAzemi man I'm just doing you a favor by warning you. This is an unauthorized use of an asset for commercial purposes. I know the owner and he has been already informed. Best thing you can do now is taking the video down before getting sued. Next time try to put effort in creating your own models to avoid legal issues

The enscape development is awful and when they do introduce new features they’re completely irrelevant to most user like the environmental analysis features which are really just very superficial and unsophisticated and is not something most people will ever use a render engine for. Also the community is terrible. Most of the threads on their forum have no responses. The only thing it really has going for it imho is the speed of its real time render interface.

@@Seychelllian we're the same. I am forced to still use enscape and can't switch on the go with d5 render because of my graphics card too.

@@Seychelllian You can use D5 with max too, it supports high detailed geometry and you can easily work organized by using layers, groups, instances. The only drawback from Enscape is that you cannot export executable file for clients to view, you need to run the software on their PCs.
