I purchased that Kondor Blue cage, and found it to be too wiggly. I'm using a Small Rig cage on my Sony A7S II now, and kept the handle from the Kondor Blue cage. Still its awkward attaching the XLR-K3M sound add-on to the Sony. Why no one who is reviewing the A7SII uses that device? I would like the Alpha 1 better, because the handle with the XLR inputs looks stronger, similar to my 15yo Sony camcorder. No need for a cage.

We’ve been shooting all our stuff with the A1 on 8k into the Ninja V “down sampling” to 4K since you posted your discovery of the feature on Instagram! So far this has been awesome and insanely sharp! It has also allowed us to crop the end result 4K quite a bit for some product reviews with amazing results!!

My question is, why doesn’t the camera down sample from 8k to 4K from the factory? They should at least give us the option for down sampled 4K recording in body.
@CompleteGeekTV3 жыл бұрын
@@NelsonsReview1 I’m not sure. My guess is that it would take more processing causing more heat which could likely make the camera overheat easier. They probably wanted to avoid an R5 press situation.

Hi Gerald. Related to 8K and 4K timeline and export in 4K. Earlier, I noticed that when you leave "Scale entire image to fit" under "Mismatched Resolution" in Resolve's Timeline Settings, Resolve behaves as if the material, although it is in a higher resolution, is equal to the resolution of the timeline. If you zoom in on such a video clip in the Inspector, details are lost, even though they shouldn't be. On the other hand, if you put "Center crop with no resizing" in Timeline Settings under "Mismatched Resolution" and then manually reduce the size of the video clip to the appropriate size of the timeline in the Inspector, the details still remain. This may have been changed in newer versions of Resolve but I remember it being a problem before.

I have a suspicion that comparing the the REAL benefits of the new expensive equipment constantly pushed by KZbinrs is Nil. Its not like we are going to see videos produced with this equipment that can benefit from it. 4k, 8k, 120 fps….. and what do we see? Walking heads, blurred background of someplace and more skateboards. I think from a purely technical point of view that this stuff is great but for Joe Average all these advances are a huge waste of money and time. I do love to watch your channel though!!
