I've switched to a titanium cutting board as well, but the most expensive upgrade was my new pure diamond-blade chef's knife, so I can avoid sharpening it every two minutes.

I know what you mean! I'm thinking about upgrading to a diamond-blade knife myself.

you mentioned it's arguable that titanium board makes the knife dull faster. Does that matches your experience? Two metal hitting each other one of them has to be scratched. Ti should be softer than a knife made of high quality steel but still want someone with experience to justify it

To be honest, I haven't noticed much of a difference with the knife after using the titanium board for almost a month now. I think it's also how and what you're cutting, slicing or chopping. Personally im still getting used to it, and prefer wood the most because of feel, sound... but I hate the staining and cleaning aspect.

Titanium cutting boards are bullshit. Of course they’re going to dull the shit out of your knife. Might permanently ruin your edge. Next they’ll be selling concrete cutting boards. Use a wooden board if a poly board freaks you out.

The claim, and google it yourself, is that they don't dull your knife, and may even maintain the sharpness. Titanium is supposed to be 3 times softer than most steel kitchen knives. Personally I like wood the best, but if you're not using every single day, and maintaining it, I hate the staining and cleaning of wood... it can soak so much water and take so much time to dry that mold develops, especially at the bottom edge its dripping.

@@AnythingGoals they claim to not fill your knives because titanium is softer than the steel in your knives. Remember that everything is dulling the knife to some extent. Soap a lot less than granite. But titanium a lot more than wood or poly. Get it?.
