OK that is a great feature! I recently purchased a 7100 but couldn't decide if I wanted to vehicle mount it or use it for pota activation's in a go box. This video has convinced me to replace the 706 with the 7100 in the vehicle.

I was just talking to someone in the HRCC afterchat who is in the UK on discord who told me about this little device. Would love to get one of those for my 7100, seems way better than getting a separate GPR when I can just use the GPS on my phone instead. Thanks for the demo! 73

I manually use Repeater Book all the time during my travels here in Australia which when visiting family can be a round trip between 1200 to 2400 kilometres, and love the idea behind the interface connection with Repeater Book and my IC-7100 via Bluetooth Toggle while traveling in My car . . . but, with the exchange rate between the GBP & AUS Dollar making the Icom Bluecat Repeater Controller and Postage from ML&S over Aus$200 . . . it puts the Bluecat Repeater Controller idea low on the nice to have list.

Hello! I’m new to the channel. I have a 7100 and I’ve considered putting it in my van. What kind of antennas are you using for HF with your vehicle? Thank you! Also, I’ll start diving into your previous videos.

Thanks for stopping by Mike. The aerials. Quite a selection. I use ham sticks for most bands. I use the slide winder dx coil with a military whip on top. I use the Moonraker md7400 MD 7400 which covers everything 7 MHz to50 MHz. I have two resonant aerials which are very small and discreet for40 m and 20 m. They are called Diamond hf40 and diamond HF20. And stay tuned I am testing a new aerial which is not out yet which covers 80 m to 6m

Their website says you can use it when using an LGD tuner. Has anyone used a 7100 and LDG tuner combined with the Blue Cat?

I read that, I have been searching and still have not seen any thing. I think may be it would be only some models. I know I have no connectors on my ATU that I could plug my BlueCat into?

Be careful of that screen protector, it can make your rig do some strange things LOL. I use my 7100 without plastic on it - it is designed to be used without one
