****EDIT*******
Yes I am aware that in this video I am using a radio that is not Type 15 approved and is technically illegal to operate without a license. The sole reason this radio is not approved is because it is capable of doing more the allowed power on the CB band and it can be used to transmit on other bands which require a license. However, I personally believe that a person should be able to use it respectfully on the 11 meter band because it is a BEAUTIFUL sounding radio which I enjoy operating. I am aware that by using this radio i face possible consequences and stand by my decision. Just as many of you chose to speed when youre behind the wheel, I feel that this is no more harmful then that. Good day!
This is a real event. A recording of an event which happened to me and violates Federal Law. This video abides by all KZbin policies and is being used as an educational tool and may be used by authorities as an investigation tool. The author of this video is a KZbin partner and stands by the fact these events happened to him and are real.

I heard you very clearly in Ann Arbor, Michigan the 15th of May 2017. It was a beautiful 5,9, signal. It is too bad about N0SDM messing with you. Over half the ham radio operators I have known in days gone by operate their ham radios on eleven meters as well. Of course this is technically illegal, but does anybody really care? I hear them chatting away on 27.395 megacycles on LSB. They operate and have fun on the side band CB. Then there is the N0SDM jerk. License or not, there is no excuse for that behavior. I even hear ham radio operators on 27.555 LSB. They speak of their stations and license. I may get a little station someday and might get a license and still play around the abandoned 27.41 to 27.999. I like hearing them. But my scanner is getting old. It is having lots of trouble and I may get a radio blackout soon. I guess it would be a perfect excuse to purchase a CB or ham radio and get a license.

Once they get enough complains about this guy I wouldn't want to be in his shoes. The ham test has been dumbed down so much over the years anyone can pass with a few day's of study. in the early 80's a store called Jamesway was selling cb radios and one (kraco) was hooked up to a 5/8 wave on the roof. we tied a rubber band around the microphone and put it in a drawer that had a lock with the key still in it. we threw the key in the trash and set it to channel 19 (truckers channel). the carrier (dead transmitting air) was on for like 8 hours. people were so pissed.

Exactly! I started SWL back in the 60’s, got a CB in the 70’s and always wanted to be a ham but couldn’t learn Morse Code. It is a medical issue. They dropped the code requirements about 15 years ago and I earned my ham license. It was easy! They have the answers on line for free by the way! You can memorize the answers and take the multiple choice test. I practiced on line, aced my technician and passed my general in one day and then aced the extra class a month later. Just get a book or get on line and you can do it! And we regulate ourselves. Our radios are not “type accepted”. Come on, you can do it! I still operate my CB as well, by the way!😊

Chilly Willy They are also common on amateur radio these days too. It would be naive to assume that just because a person has a licence does not necessarily mean they are incapable of simply not using their licence call sign and jamming up the frequencies. It's something that's always been happening and if your lucky it's not a reprobate that singles you out for harassment. One thing to never do is acknowledge that they are getting you annoyed as this is what they live for, causing drama and feeding off it.

A corrupt government? Really? Is that because you're a "libertarian", or you just don't vote at all? The federal government requires Amateur Radio operators to be licensed and identifies them as such. End of argument there. Now, the CB band uses "discreet" channels, so every time you use your "slider", you're breaking federal law. And, don't tell me you're not using the full-power capabilities of your radio.....I simply don't believe that!!! Why don't you get a ham ticket, so we can welcome you to the wonderful world of Amateur Radio? 28-mHz is dead in this sunspot-cycle. 7 and 10-mHz are great for "skipland", and you can run your "kicker" all you want. You can't break federal law and depend on a "corrupt government" to help you. You've got a jamming problem, to be sure, but you'll find a lot less malicious interference in the ham bands. 6-year-olds are getting their ham tickets now.......Why don't you join us? de NN6A.

It is not that hard and you already have equipment. instead of 11m you switch to 10m and with a delta loop on 20m you get good propagation every day for some hours. You can try and build a small directive antenna to track the person jamming. doesn't have to be a full size antenna to read that 9+20S which is probably within a mile from you. Get 2 readings from different locations , track 2 lines on the map and got find his antenna.

Ham radio operators wouldn't normally do this, considering that you aren't allowed to use a ham radio on the 11m band, and they won't want to chance loosing this license. And cb operators don't care for it either. Which means it's likely a cb operator who knows you're operating illegally. This carries a $10,000 fine per incident if and when you get caught.

It probly ain't a ham radio operator . You are dealing with an angry CB operator that lives in your city heard you talking on a clear sounding radio icon and you ruffled his feathers so he's going key on AM block your reception. I know everyone out there is talking on CB on SSB trying to enjoy the hobby but there is no backing from FCC on CB. But your video may be helpful if other people your way get jammed . Take a drive see who's got antennas up antrins, v5/8 macos , sirio's Ect . Yes there's. Lots Ham's around they just want talk radio and no nonsense . Getting your gam radio licenses is one step but you enjoy CB ops you may have wait a long time for this guy to go away! Take it Mobil ralk yourself on ssb with walkie talkie drive around pull antenna when he keys you or get help from someone in cell phone driving around a CB buddy you will get in top of signal you know that's about it .

The sole reason this is illegal is because it is faster than the allowed speed limit on public roads and I don't have a license. I personally believe a person should be able to drive 180mph if they do so carefully because it is an AMAZING car and I enjoy driving fast."

Man am I glad that I gave up amateur radio in my state it's been like this only on the two major bands people would mess around on Public Safety frequencies after modifying their radios and then keying up on law enforcement frequencies and making it sound like I was the one doing it using my call sign so I'm really glad that my license was never renewed because Laura fucking Smith would not allow it to be renewed and I wasn't going to keep fighting with her on false accusations no matter how much proof is submitted to her it wasn't worth it because I wasn't about to keep getting involved with drama and bullshit ham radio operators in the state of Wisconsin especially in the Southeastern part of the state where I'm from so I took up scanning as a hobby instead along with train watching

A radio with an IF level DSP filter or a rotatable dipole on horizontal could null him out of your receive. The rotatable horizontal dipole is the cheapest method. I've been nulling out jammers with a rotatable horizontal dipole for years.

www.ratemyprofessors.com/ShowRatings.jsp?tid=1816659 I guess this link makes your comment make complete sense. Who cares if im running 12 watts out of the radio or the 100 that it does. The issue at hand is there is a person who is intentionally disrupting the band. If you can look past that and focus on the radio being used...well then youre the kind of person who would be doing this as well.

Get your Ham License, Get out of the Ghetto that has become CB radio. With some worth while studying and taking often pre tests in the books and free online pre testing I know you can do it well enough. The FCC tests I believe are to keep the idiots, bullies, and riff raff off the air legally. You never have to test again, unless to upgrade, and it is cheap. You got a TOP NOTCH radio, why waste it on the CB BANDS?

That radio is far too powerful for the CB radio band, as it is meant for radio amateurs. Also, it is not approved by the FCC for CB radio use. That said, why not use the Amateur Radio service with it? If you don't have a license, you should get one, the Technician test (U.S.A FCC) is very, very easy to get, and actually just with a Technician license you can use the whole data area and some SSB phone, too on 10 meters! It is really fun, and seeing that you knew how to get an antenna tuner and all hooked up to that radio means you probably like radio experimentation, and know at least a little bit about radios. In Amateur Radio, you can do all sorts of things!
