I used to have this thing I called the "10 Year Rule" during college. Finals were coming up and I was stressed af for fear of failing a couple classes. Then out of nowhere a thought came to me that "No matter if I pass or fail my exams, 10 years from now it won't even have an impact on what Im doing at that time. And I probably won't even rmr wtf I am stressing about right now." Well last year was the 10 year anniversary of me coming up with the rule in 2012 and I was right. No idea which exams had me sweating or what grade I even got on them. This rule can and should be applied to everything in life that has you feeling like your world might crumble tomorrow. 10 years from now, you most likely won't even remember or at the very least care about your problems today. Just do the best you can in your current situation and keep moving forward no matter how it turns out. The rest will take care of itself.

I have multiple versions of this rule. The 1 year, 1 month, 1 week, 1 day and 1 hour rule. You would be shocked how few things actually matter 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week or 1 month later. The 1 year version has only applied to 1 event in the last year that snowballed and guess what? It all worked out.

How come true.see for example you want to go in medical and worked hard but you were not a able to get the required percentage.so as a result you will not go in medical field your dream will be shattered and as a result you will chosse another field which you might not like then it will affect all of your life isn't.so how 10 years rule will be ok.

I also think that the mindset "it will work out" in itself is what just reduces problems to a minimum. Right now, we live in a time (depending on where and how you live) where our existence really isn't in danger due to life-or-death scenarios. And if you think about it, once you get into such a scenario, your body will automatically do everything it can to survive. Worrying is a byproduct of a brain that tries to predict future outcomes, which is a fascinating thing and it's very useful - however, in many cases and situations, that trait becomes maladaptive.

The stroke was unusual and they couldn’t find any precursors (they couldn’t find any blockages other than what caused the stroke , I don’t smoke or drinks, and I’ve eaten healthily up to now). The good news is that I still have use of my limbs and I can still communicate verbally. I need a cane to move about, but I can still move about. I’ve noticed that every undesirable situation I’ve been in where I didn’t think I was gonna get out of it, I ended up getting out of it one way or another (a lot of the times unexpectedly). Then when I look back and look at my mentality when I was stuck in those situations, I think “wow, all that worrying was for nothing..”. That’s happened about 4 times now. I’m still stuck in a new undesirable situation that I have no control over, but this time I’m trusting God and just gonna do my part. The faster you learn from your pain, the faster your pain is relieved. 4. Plan for what you can, and be ready to abandon your plan when it fails. 5. Practice for pain. Fear homelessness? Go camping or sleep in your car on purpose. Fear getting into a fight? Take a Krav Maga class. Fear getting dumped? Spend some time alone doing stuff like dining alone or going to the movies alone. Hey Timothy, just wanted to tell you you’re an amazing man. I’m a 15 year old dude with a shit ton of anxiety about the future of our world, and for the past couple months that unbearable anxiety has been growing and growing and taking more place in my life, to the point that it is sometimes paralyzing me and draining me out of all my energy, therefore making me depressed and preventing me from enjoying my life even the slightest bit. I do my best to practice living in the present moment and having faith in God’s plan. But man, I have to say that video in particular is really life changing and helps enormously having a positive and bright perspective on life. You basically summed it all up with those words: “It’s gonna work out. I’m gonna do what I can do , and beyond that it will work out. How that works out I don’t know, but I know it will.” That mindset is brilliant, thank you so much for your vid!! Big up from Switzerland 🇨🇭 ❤

Great video! I had a friend that traveled halfway across the country in a not-new car, loaded down with all her stuff. I said, What if you have car trouble? A flat, etc? She said, "Oh, someone will help me. It'll be ok." Sne never worried about things. I envied that, learned to think more that way. Then i saw a verse that said (right after the Noah story), "From this time, springtime and harvest, winter and summer, will not cease." Finally it sunk in--long after im gone, the world will go on turning, revolving, nothing is *that* world-shattering, life goes on. That helped, too. We're born, we work and play, we die, life goes on. And as you said, trouble, grief, etc, eventually end/iron out. Long comment, but my friend and that verse changed my life a lot. I don't worry much at all now, if ever. This video reminded me, and helped again.

What made me feel so much better right now, before I clicked on this video, is that I realized that the future is already done. You can't change it. If you go right instead of left, and say, well look... I just changed the future because a moment ago, I was going to go left but instead I chose to go right. Well... The future already accounted for that change. You can't get ahead of the future. Do what you know is right, don't do what you know is wrong, help people, don't be lazy, follow your passions in life and be kind. As long as you do right, live righteously, and go after what you want in life, with a good attitude, things will work out, like you said. The future won't fix your problems, but it's done, and what you do now will lead to whatever your future is. Also, do not force change. You should always know or realize when you are forcing something. And always, try your best and give it your all.

I think it really is just a mindset and you demonstrated that perfectly in yout video, even if you didn't realize it. I'm sure your expectation when starting the walk on the beach WASNT to walk in water and fill your shoes up with it, but when it unexpectedly happened, that was a pivot point and a situation you were just going to have to deal with. But it wasn't the end all be all moment either. It was simply something that occurred and you dealt with it. I think that's the major thing we have to realize - things will happen, and depending on how we look at things, at life, it's either completely awful or just another moment in life. 👏👏👏

I’m a new subscriber and enjoyed the livestream getting to know you this past evening. This message is so timely, you have no idea. It’s all going to work out. I’m going to be ok. I’m a believer in Jesus. I’m going to be ok and I will get through this. Thanks Tim.💙

Yes, life is all about developing the bond between our soul and Holy Spirit. And that is possible only through communication with Holy Spirit , in the name of Jesus Christ. Trust me you'll enjoy even the moment when our soul depart from our body. Because our soul will eventually end up in the kingdom of Jesus, which is even more pleasant than here.

Hello Sir. I have been enjoying your videos for many years now. The sceneries are very beautiful, and the messages are very inspiring as well. I wish someone had told me this many years ago when I dropped out of high school. I was able to graduate from high school at the age of 34 years old in 2000. I kept worrying, because I felt that I hadn't completed my goals. Then in 2011 I graduated from college. I worried a lot. I learned now that I'm 58 that I had to think differently. I know what you mean. Thanks for the reminder.

I think that even though the wisdom you’ve shared here is something I truly believe deep down, it so often feels like something I need socially granted permission to actually practice, permission which I ultimately deny myself because of my low estimation of my own self-worth. Valid and powerful a gift as it may be, I don’t feel I deserve to not worry. Instead I choose to think about how irresponsible and foolish I would look in the eyes of others if I did so, and about how they might be right to see me so. I don’t trust myself enough to apply this insight because I assume others know best and have greater inner resources regarding how to make decisions that get them ahead in life. Watching your video, I was reminded not only of how sensible the mentality you describe is, but also that I don’t need anyone’s permission but my OWN to adopt it, and that to grant it I will need to learn to trust myself, my intelligence, and my sense of what’s right for me. And that I DO deserve that trust in myself! A lot of this boils down to loving yourself, and I wanted to share these thoughts as they occurred to me while listening to you. Thank you for this video, and for the generous and unpretentious way in which you delivered your message.

That’s what I’ve been doing with any bills I can’t afford. I just throw them in the garbage and tell myself, That it’s all going to work out. 😊👍
