Glad to hear what you have to say about Medjugorje. Our curate said after a visit he went as a man and came back a priest. Our Mother Mary is just wonderful

It has been 35 years since my wife and I, plus our two oldest children (then 3 and 1), traveled to Medjugorje. As Robert expressed, it is in the profound sacramental life of the parish that deeply touched our lives. Yes, I was miraculously healed, but if that hadn't occurred, I would still be expressing my joy today. I do not know how commercialized it is today, but back then there were no hotels or restaurants, just local families that would open their homes and hearts to us. And for me it was the lived faith of the locals that remain indelibly carved into my memory. As the Romans used to say of the early Christians, "See how they love one another!" So much love, peace, and grace! Go and experience the love of the Two Hearts in a unique way!

I have just come back from Medjugorje and have been truly 'humbled', I am overflowing with gratitude...much for me to sift through as I am an Anglican. Much appreciate what you have shared.

My life was truly changed by Medjugorje over 37 years ago, and yet i've never been there. Love this testimony. Love Our Lady the Queen of Peace.

That’s a very good distinction. I too have seen many profound conversions happen in relation to Medjugorje, and I’m grateful. Even in our hometown, there’s a prayer group that’s met faithfully for more than 20 years practically every Friday night. It’s a pillar in my prayer life. The Rosary and the Sacraments, Our Lord and Our Lady are ALWAYS fruitful! But, The gall of the visionaries obviously fake visions angers me. I see them as mocking Our Lady, not to mention some of the messages being contrary to the Faith.

Been to Medjugorje many times Robert. I had the best confession of my whole life there, I did not know the priest but from the minute I sat down with him, I was convinced he could see right into my soul, I will never forget his special blessing till the end of my days. My pilgrimages were not about the seers they were all about participating in the services and confession, worshipping our Lord Jesus.

My first Rosary came from there. With earth from there in the centre. Gifted to me by a friend in 2010 with a guide on how to pray the rosary. I converted in 2013. My 10 year anniversary next year. Saint Pope John Paul II had a deep love of there too ❤ But then he was very much a Marian Pope.

Amazing honest talk, Robert! How inspiring! Praise be to God for what he does in Medugorje and in his church. As for me I believed "in" Medugorje from the first minute but that's just a gift or a grace, not at all merited. So when I went yeeeaaars later (1998) I'd read up on everything that'd happened there (seers, apparitions etc) and knew alot but wasn't really "converted" yet. But the Lord showered me with graces and made me WANT to become holy! So I now practice all those lovely catholic devotions like you do; mass, confession, rosary, adoration, so if you like I came to Medugorje in the opposite way to you, (more kind of sensation seeking or hoping for miracles) but getting the same results... If you follow?! There are Marian shrines here in Germany too... Ever heard of Heroldsbach? It's wonderful.... But nothings quite like Medugorje! It's great listening to you; keep evangelising and God and Mary bless you! Nick.

Sorry, I should also have added that I agree - confession there is like a magnet, totally irresistible. I was also amazed of the total clarity of conscience I experienced during confession. It was definitely a Spirt led examination with full disclosure and no holds barred. A very memorable experience!

Glad about your experience in Medjugorje. I can understand you perfectly well as I’ve been there since 1996 every year. As you expressed so well there is no place like it. I have recently visited Padre Pio in San Giovanni Rotondo and though it was a great experience as I am a great fan of him, but nothing and nowhere is any like Medjugorje where you feel tangibly loved by Our Lady Queen of Peace. A piece of Heaven on earth. God bless you.

My sister, Patricia, with brain cancer went to the site, but wasn’t healed. She died at age 38 and that was Gods will. My family was still healed by God’s graces. I hope your listeners cling to our faith and the hope of our Blessed Virgin Mary.

It is essential when considering Medjugorje to remember that the visionaries and the local Franciscans made/supported these claims when a militantly atheist, Communist government was in power. If you were going to make these claims for fame and/or money, it was definitely not the place or time to do so. The visionaries were threatened with being placed into psychiatric institutions and the Franciscan parish priest was imprisoned for two years and lost his hearing during that time due to being forced to work with noisy machinery without ear protection. They all took great risks and all refused to recant (except the local bishop who did remove his support after a visit from the secret police).

Look at all the conversions on Tom Medjugorje youtube channel. I have experienced similar to some of the people doing testimonies on that channel. These were...they didnt want to leave Medjugorje, they felt great peace, they were healed of wounds, they went back to confessions after being away years, they feel so happy there and even after coming home, content. They have been several times, 20 times, 30 times. When i first went people were telling me they were there many times...now i am like them i have been many times now also. You develop a way of coping better because your faith in God gets stronger you start to feel the presence of Our Lady more and love her. You go to mass there twice per day, just as i heard on the testimonials, it is a true place i knew it was true the first time i went there i felt it strongly, so much joy, you get touched by God, you go to confessions and Our Lady guides you, adoration, prayer, apparition hill, cross mountain, of course Our Lady is still appearing there thats why all this peace is happening in Međugorje!
