Maybe you can sew or thread a piece of satin on the underneath part of your cap. All the way around or just a patch at the top. That way the headscarf doesn't slide off the cap. If the cap moves you can Bobby pin it at the sides.

@@sahrahussein7251 So I normally have my hair in a low bun with like two small braids on my hairline ( I hope that makes sense) or I have two braids that you can still turn into a bun, then under that, I wear a silk scarf wrapping it around the bun, lastly, I tie my hijab in any style I like. I feel like this works, especially if you moisturize your hair regularly. My scarf doesn't slide off also it doesn't look weird with braid bumps! inshallah this works for you too! x

this is a real issue yall, I used to have thick hair and I started to do extremely tight buns and ponytails under my hijab and my hair line has gone back so so so much. Not only that my hair was practically dead and I’d have constant migraines. Making the slightest change such as wrapping your hair in silk bonnets, oiling it regularly, plaiting it will make the biggest difference. My hair is slowly starting to become a lot more healthy.

The issue is we have the “no one sees, so what? It doesn’t matter” 😭😭 and not the hijab itself 💀💀💀. I stay having twists and random braids that look weird, but you know what?! A bald headed sis, went from never growing hair to hair down my back and thick af! 4c hair grows long too 💃🏾💃🏾. Just take care of your dang hair ladies. Stop blaming the hijab for ya laziness leading to hair loss. Wear a silk scarf under your hijab to protect it from whatever hijab material that is abrasive and harsh.

What Mahnal is describing is traction alopecia. Traction Alopecia can happen to anyone but it is most common for people with curly hair. It can affect people with straight hair if too much weight is put on it. Such as trying to wear sew-ins,hair extensions or even ponytails pulling to oblivion.

It's called traction alopecia. When you pull your hair tight into a bun or braids causing hair loss. Combing your hair actually will increase blood flow to the scalp. Peppermint essential oil in whatever you put on your scalp, will also increase blood flow which in turn increases hair growth. Using a silk scarf or fabric that doesn't absorb the moisture on your hair keeps it from breaking. If you don't have damaged hair, just dry hair, avoid anything with protein in it.

So relatable - I started wearing the hijab at the age of 10, and definitely like yourself and many others has the mind set of ‘who cares, no one sees my hair’!! I went years without trimming my hair and used to put my hair up in a really tight high bun, under a scarf cap. The only time my hair would breath was at night! I noticed my hair thinning massivley, hair loss and my hair line strated to recede. It was only two years ago that i finally cut my hair and honestly it was the best thing ever - Eversince I have stopped pulling my hair so tightly, but instead partin my hair to the side or down the middle; I have also stopped wearing a under cap on a daily basis and keep my hair in a loose half pony under my hijab. I wash my hair 2-3 a week and oil my hair at least once a week: honestly i have noticed a huge change in my hair and scalp - Only if someone had told me this sooner !!?

if you have too much tension on your hairline it will cause some hair loss, this is common for people who wear wigs, do rags/headscarves or hijabs. It is best to keep your hairline moisturize as much as possible using oils or butters depending on your hair texture. Wearing a silk scarf helps to retain the moisture and does not agitate the hairline.

May I suggest underbraiding: most people braid so the braid sits on top but an underbraid is when you see the seam of the braid, leaving the braid close to the scalp and the seam topside. It eliminates braid ridges (bumps) giving you a smoother surface.

I used to suffer from headaches because of the tight bun and having my hijab on all day but now, I wrap my hair with a smaller stretchy band that covers all my hair without having to tie it in a bun, then wear the regular hijab on (we use very thin fabrics for hijabs in Kuwait so its not hot wearing 2 pieces together).

OMG I know exactly what you'r talking about! Thats exactly my theory too about the hairline. I started not tying my front hairs kinda like turned them into bangs and I would keep them to the sides by my ears. And I would tie the rest of my hair back. It has helped my hair grow so much better upfront alhamdullilah no more receding hairline. And then when my hair shows upfront sometimes wearing the hijab people question why but they don't understand the struggle. Like I'm not doing it purposely to show my hair I'm just trying to help my hairline.

Use almond oil. I wear my hear in a bun, and I lost a lot of my hairline. Massaging my scalp with almond oil helped me a lot. Nothing else worked for me before. No coconut oil, no castor oil and any other hair products. I even tried prp. I am using it on my eyebrow and it is flourishing!!! Good luck everyone with hairline repair.

This could be why the Prophet pbuh disliked putting your hair in a bun under your scarf (camel hump) due to the hair damage caused by it! SubhanAllah

It's true that wearing your hijab like a camel hump is haram. But saying that damage is reason for it tot be haram? That is not true. What the reason is we don't know Allahu ahlem.
@mahammughal4135
@mahammughal4135 5 жыл бұрын
Siham Handala I’m not claiming to know that, that is the reason why it’s haraam but it could be one of the reasons why it is because it is harmful to hair due to the pressure being put on it.

I'm white, so my hair is a little different and I don't braid in rows, but it is curly if I wash it right (sometimes i'm lazy) I've been growing my hair out from shaved for about 3 years now, and I converted and starting wearing hijab about a year and half ago. Styling my hair under hijab while it was so short was difficult, and I ended up putting a lot of weight on the tiny bun I could manage, in an attempt to volumize it. Over time my iman has grown, and I care less about having a nice bun under my hijab, but I still have sensory issues and need my hair off my neck. So i still wore buns, but more relaxed and lower. I've never been nice to my hairline through all of this and the hair coming from my hairline is still was shorter than the rest, it breaks before it can grow long enough, and I've began to worry about my hairline. Finally a couple weeks ago I realized my hair was just reaching long enough to braid. I've spent a lot of time excitedly relearning how to braid and french braid (dutch braid really, I only know how to braid under on my self because I learned to braid over on others and dolls lmao) But I'm really excited to finally be able to style my hair better to protect it under hijab! alhamdullilah

Tangle teaser breaks the hair, try a denham brush. For me what works is once every 6 weeks a protein treatment, once every few kobths olaplex treatment, olaplex home care, before shampooing your hair I put vinigar on my scalp because it cleanses the hair sacks from clogging up the oils that are there naturally anyway and even more if you use oil on your hair. And I tried the curly-girl-method which is basically a product list of all healthy products anf it makes your hair more curly. It works for me, maybe someone can benefit from this aswell.

Thanks for all the advice! Also it is important to wear a satin/silk cap under your hijab because à coton material will strip the moisture out of your hair. I wear a satin cap or a Durag under my hijab and my hijab doesn’t slip. And maybe dry your hair with a 100% coton t-shirt instead of a harsh towel. Makes a difference when it comes to frizz! Xxx

JazakAllahkhair for this video. I have been wearing hijab in the same way for just over 10 years. I wear a cotton cap underneath which I never fasten too tight and then a light polyester scarf. I’ve never had any problems but since the last few weeks on and off I have been experiencing similar symptoms where I felt pressure/discomfort/pain on the top left hand side, not exactly on the hairline but a bit further back. I have been praying to Allah to grant me shifa and it has reduced. I know longer wear the cap instead I wear a cotton bandana about an inch back from My hairline and i feel this has helped but do find that my side hairs come out of my hijab so I’m always having to tuck in etc also my hair had got quite long and I may have been pulling it tight when putting in the clutch so I also had a haircut so it’s no weighing down as much with the length so that has helped too Alhamdhulillah the feeling isn’t as bad since the last couple of weeks but it is irratating when it’s there. May Allah protect us from hair loss and make it easy for us Aameen
