Tough concept for all of the NPCs out there that have cognitive deficiencies but a guy can like something or someone, he can think something looks good; or has value and that does NOT mean he wants to possess the thing.

I like the Frontier because I don't need 4x4 or ever leave the road... Just need a decent long lasting truck that has cargo room, and can haul around motorcycles without needing a trailer. The Frontier works great. If I was wanting an off-road vehicle, I don't think I'd go with the Frontier either.

This was my reasoning as to why I purchased a 21 Honda Ridgeline. I mostly drive on pavement, so I needed something comfortable with plenty of cargo room on road trips. You are right, the Nissan Frontier is definitely an upgrade from last years model, the 2022-2024 are great trucks, the 2025 with the new slight refresh is much better, thank you Nissan for listening to your customers, but as good as the 2025 is, it is not a Gladiator with solid front and rear axles and lockers, these are 2 different vehicles for 2 separate applications. For some the Frontier is all they need but for others, the Gladiator is.

Yeah, but the Gladiator is reaching for a different consumer. The Gladiators ride on pavement is terrible. IFS isn’t great for off road, but let’s be honest, where do most of us spend most of our time driving on. IFS is king on pavement when it comes to ride quality.

You have a very good valid reason for not getting this for yourself concerning your personal requirements. Nissan design Engineers should take note of your comments. On the other hand your right about 90% plus of truck buyers are suburban drivers maybe occasionally ride around some local dirt trail for a day out of the month, and that’s a maybe. On a light dirt trail where even a Prius could go, a truck doesn’t need a 4WD.

My 2 cents: the gladiator is the funnest truck made. Its also the most capable. It also is excellent on road. (I just did 4 10 a day trips over the last week back and forth to my dads to help as he is sick. 2 trips in the 4 runner and 2 trips with the gladiator. i prefer doing that trip in the gladiator. The more up right seating was more comfortable and the amazing visability make is less fatiguing to see what every car around me was doing). The gladiator is just as reliable as the frontier, rides great, parts are cheap, its built stronger etc. But the frontier is no slouch and is a very well made truck for a great price and the same if not slightly better reliability (but parts cost much more). I think the frontier is the perfect everyday every mans pickup today. But The gladiator is in a league of its own and excels at so many things. This may sound crazy but its a testimate to how I feel about the gladiator. Im considering hanging on to my23 glad for 3 years instead of 2 I normally flip a truck at. That way I can buy a 2026 gladiator rubicon and put a 120k 6 year warranty on it. Then I will watch for mopar sales on the 3.6 new crate motor and buy one before they stop making them in 2029. I will then keep that 2026 gladiator for 10 years and replace the motor if needed somewhere in that 400k miles I will put on the 26. This would let me have the amazing gladiator for along time with minimal costs for the amount of miles I would drive. I could get the new motor for probably 6k on sale and any other parts needed would be available after market. I love the gladiator that much.

I bought a Nissan Frontier in 2016 when they still offered the Manual transmission with 4wD and the M226(Dana 44) differential. The truck has been great and I am taking extra special care of it to make it last a long time like I remember Nissan’s always have. I will not purchase the new Frontier specifically because Nissan decided to not offer it with a manual. Sounds petty, but remember, the 6 Speed Manual in the 2016 is robust enough to handle towing a 6000lb trailer and can handle the power of a V8. LOJ conversions offers a kit to mount an LS to the transmission because it can. Nissan did not need to spend a dime on engineering to mount the new 3.6L v6 to the previous generation manual, they chose to stop offering the manual and spited every loyal Nissan owner. Maybe they will change their minds when they go bankrupt.

A few things holding me back. I often tow trailers in the 3-6k weight range. The 3.8's torque numbers are low. Most of my previous trucks had higher torque than hp numbers. I feel like the nissan engine might leave me winding it out up hills. Also no integrated trailer brake controller is a miss. It doesn't sound like the 2025 refresh addressed the turning radius or camera quality. I'm fine with the looks and most other things about the truck but with these issues it makes it hard for me to choose the frontier over a 2.7 Ranger or a z71 colorado which address my needs.
@Jason-Samko
@Jason-Samko 3 ай бұрын
Nothing wrong with that. The frontier is a great truck. But if I was towing alot and had to get a midsize I'm prefer a turbo too for the power. And I agree if yoy buy a truck to tow over 3500 Pounds an integrated trailer brake sure is much nicer than aftermarket.

There you go. Buy what you need. You're probably 1% of truck buyers who actually need complete 4WD capabilities. Lockers etc. I have a 2024 SV 4WD because I need 4WD because of snow. I'm not off road guy, but I know I can get to places I would never attempt in my previous 2WD Frontier. Well cant argue with that logic! Thats why your chan is great Sam, your not only entertaining but ya just have so much damn logic thrown in there to. I really liked my 2nd gen 2008 4.0 4X4 Frontier that gave me 416,000 miles before a blown head gasket. And I am hoping my 2015 Xterra will give me as many trouble free miles as my Frontier did. Very tempted to pull the trigger on a 3rd gen Frontier in a couple years if the new engine proves as reliable as the 2nd gen. But none of them would be able to compete with a Jeep Rubicon package off road without a lot of modification and money. Jeep is probably going to continue to rule that roost in America as long as it remains fully locked with solid axles all around when no one else is.

Love mine. Will buy another again. And reliability is paramount to me as I travel 40k miles a year all across the country. Can't think of a truck I'd rather be in for the places I go and how I drive

From the sounds of your needs is that you’ll always have payments to make on your vehicles. You say you buy them cheap, but you also mentioned that you would destroy the front of the Nissan Frontier. I’m not sure your resale will be good on any truck with a destroyed front end. You’re not buying what you need when you’re always purchasing a new vehicle, destroying the front bumpers and beating on them and then selling them. You need to buy something that can give you longevity, that you could pay off and use specifically for your needs. Or, perhaps like a friend of mine uses a Mahindra Roxor Diesel to hunt. We too live in the swamps. He has 35 inch swamp tires on his 2018 Roxor with 70k miles on it with front and rear lockers and it solely lives in the swamps of Florida. Other than oil changes and air filters it does the job he needs it to do and more. Good thing is, something like a Frontier could tow a Roxor to the trailhead, and you’re off to your hunting destination. 🙂

I put 40k miles a year on my trucks. There is no truck made today that would let me buy it, pay it off and keep driving it. It would be dead before it was paid off. But sounds like your friend has a good system for what he needs. Me, my system works perfect as I have not spent a penny on a truck in the last 8 trucks. I buy em low and sell them right costing me nothing

I grew up in Chevrolets. I have bought 2 new Chevys and the only truck that has been in the shop more was the Nissan truck lol. But at least Nissan hasn’t went turdbo 💩 yet.

So you made a video for the 1%. Got it. For the 99%, such as myself (and I live off-grid, on a VERY “off-road” road that defeats vehicles like clockwork), this video doesn’t apply because we’re not swamp runners. Again, seems like a bragging video more than an educational video.
