Just don’t forget to install an oil catch can, as the direct fuel injection is the only minor downside to this engine’s reliability. Nissan Frontier is and will be one of the best trucks ever made just like Toyotas 2001 TRD Tacoma was. Nissan is staying with what they have learned and what works well. My thoughts on Ranger raptor, it would probably spend alot of time in a repair shop, Ranger use to be one of my favorite trucks.
@Dusdaddy4 ай бұрын
I don't see how a Pro-4x compares to the other brands "Halo" trucks. They need a lot more before they can equal a ZR2, Trailhunter, or a Raptor. It has locking rear diff and that's about it so the same as a Ranger FX4, Canyon AT4, Tacoma Off-road, or Chevy TrailBoss (with lots of options).
@jamesbeaman63374 ай бұрын
That was my thought too. Folks shopping for those trucks with the highest off road capabilities from Ford, Chevy/GMC and Ford likely won’t be comparing them to the Pro-4x.
@timmead30214 ай бұрын
I agree with this. I think the pro-4x is competitive against mid level trucks like the TRD off road but nissian needs to make another trim to be able to be compete.
@upshifter53164 ай бұрын
Ya I was confused, and it was probably a comparison at Nissans request. A Pro4x matches up more with an FX4 Ranger, TRD Off Road Tacoma or TrailBoss/AT4 Canyorado.
@is65664 ай бұрын
Even the TRD Off-road Taco is a stretch because that truck can be had with a disconnecting sway bar. The Pro 4X is rear locker only and that’s it as you said. So the Taco has higher off road capability.

It's a simple big displacement V6. Andre summed it up best; it's an honest truck. I also think it's the best looking midsize as well. I'm so glad they added telescoping wheel as well for 2025. Still a much better buy then the others that are going fully digital!! As for me id buy this get a 2.5 in lift kit (580) from rough country and change the tires and be happy! Hey guys, I have the 2022 model and yes, the 6 foot bed is a game changer. I wish mine had a 6 foot bed with the full cab that I have what I mean is full size cab I should say. The grill update is going silly, especially since it’s not functional. As far as the engine goes, I’ve been driving this thing for three years now I’ve bought it in 2021. I have 72,000 miles on it and no issues. It’s a great engine. Why change anything if the engine perfect is perfect, I am glad that they are changing the head unit display because mine is crap and it’s already broken. I also wish Nissan would increased our warranty to 100,000 miles 36,000 miles. I cross that in the first year and after that, my car is out of warranty, so that sucks as far as the rest of the truck it’s great you almost forget about the non-telescoping steering wheel. It just goes up and down and also I have the SV so in 2022, which just model Yaris you should have only LED headlights and mine does not, if you wanna upgrade to the same headlights as the pro 4X you can buy them for $1000 each light so two grand just to upgrade your headlights. You can get them used on eBay I guess all right I’m talking too much. this is a great truck do not change the engine, unless you wanna put a V8, I will be sweet

Sad. So a Pro4X long bed looks capable, but only has a payload rating of 940 pounds. That is pathetic. If you had a trailer in the 5,000 pound range the truck would be maxed-out with the trailer and one or two people but no other luggage. Claiming a tow rating over 7,000 does not allow for a good tongue weight plus people. I will buy a truck in a few months and for a long time had planned to get a mid-size such as the Frontier.
