I totally get Tristan’s need for solitude. I’ve always had a fairly crowded, extroverted-type life (went from a big, active family to boarding school/college, then on to hectic jobs that were never bound by 40/hr weeks or much separation between friends and colleagues. Having time alone is the only way to get my energy back. Anyway, it’s awesome that you two understand each other so well and appreciate your differences ❤️

Lovely to see a bit of the personal side of you both. as others have commented, can't wait to see the reverse question. 2nd thing I would be interested in, how do you manage the different dynamic of Captain v chief stew (I.e. boss v. subordinate) and the personal dynamic of partners / lovers. How do you maintain the discipline of separating the two between work and personal life. I can also relate to Giv's comment re the VRO (Very rich Owner) allowing you to work together on his vessel, as I know in my early career my employer didn't allow partners to work together in the same office and we didn't spend as much time together as you guys do on board. I know when it came out that one of my colleagues was dating one of the other staff one of the two had to agree to transfer to a different office!

I don't own my own boat but I've been interested in sailing since I've been watching SV Delos videos and that's when your channel showed up. The only thing is I haven't been on the water for a very long time because I get seasick. One thing I can say is don't get to my age (57) and have any regrets in life.
