I never even knew about sisterlocks, I immediately researched microlocs. I have been natural for 12 years and I was so done with my hair for the same reasons. I had just had my SIXTH child in 2020 and between trying to maintain all the kids heads I was OVER doing my own hair. I kept it in mini twist also and redid them every 6 weeks. My son asked for locs earlier that year and I did them for him. O started to realize his hair was so ideal for me but I didn't want traditional locs. Don't know how I happened on the microlocs but when I saw them i knew that it was for me. I've been on this journey for almost a year now and I love it so much.

I saw locs when I was looking for a long term hair solution similar to braids. I knew I would have minimal time to be in somebody's chair. I maintain them myself. 21 months later best decision I EVER made

Love your locs btw. I have loose 4c fine hair . Thinking so so so hard about getting them. One thing that's holding me back is the fact that my last wash and set, a year ago, my hair was actually to my shoulders. And it's never been this long. I'm thinking of trying to grow it out with many twists and then washing sets for a few months maybe a year and then see what I decide but day after day it's getting harder and harder. Cuz I have these many micro twists in my hair for the past month, and girl I am absolutely loving it. I finally am able to wash my hair without crying from thinking about all the work I'm going to have to do after I wash it. I finally am able to wash my hair in the shower. I've never done that until these mini twists. It could just be my inner child realizing that if I get locked I will never see myself with straight hair again LOL ( Knowing damn well every time I had straight hair I did the utmost to keep it wrapped and keep it straight, and keep it away from the elements). It's a whole novel up there lfmaoooooo my badddd

Girl it's a novel that many of us can relate to. It took me 6 years to pull the trigger and I couldn't be happier. It's not only the beauty and versatility but the FREEDOM! Keep twisting & letting your hair flourish and when you're ready you will know!

New subbie here!! I soooo enjoyed your story. It was so relatable. From the "done everything with my hair"...to scalp issues (alopecia areata over here😜), I am WITH YOU. Locs are convenient, easy, low maintenance, cool, stylish, versatile, and the list goes on. I'm 3.5 years loc'd and loving it. Ok, I'm off to binge watch your videos. Your locs are beautiful!

I've watched this video a couple of times. I sisterlocked my hair in February 2022 and soon after found out I was pregnant with my 4th child. I combed all of them out 5 months later (probably due to my hormones and lack of patience in seeing them flourish). Since then, I've only kept mini twists in my hair because I moss the convenience of my locks. Now that I'm 34 weeks pregnant, I'm considering doing my own small braidloca just before the baby arrives, hopefully. I can identify with you in not wanting to take the extra time to do my loose natural hair, especially with the addition of a 3rd baby girl (more hair to do). Thank you for starting your channel!❤

I have had my microlocs for 5 years and I started them myself. I have combined a few here and there but they are still microlocs. I made a few too small in the beginning. It took me a week to complete my locs in between work/life. Microlocs have been the best hair choice for me. It’s absolute hair freedom for a thick haired 4c lady like myself.
