Some more points: 1. Unreasonably high notice period - 90 days? 2. Companies demanding salary slips of previous jobs for interviews. Why?? 3. Companies implementing "no return policy". If you leave, you cannot join back. This should be downright illegal. 4. Indian culture of treating people below you without dignity - our bosses treat us the same way middle class aunties treat maids.

True the company that is hiring would not entertain if notice period is more than 1 month (note the same company demanding this will have their own notice period as 3 month) and the company you work for will have a 3 month notice period making it hard to switch.

One thing I noticed working in corporate is that, usually bachelors work long hours and management tend to see this and expect all their employees work long hours. I am not telling bachelors don't have personal life but most (especially men) who in first 3 to 8 years of their career tend to overwork to get visibility and this sets a bar for everyone to follow. The managements says why he can work but not you. Once you are married or have personal life, people tend to not work long hours.

slight disagreement here. single people are often cornered by the seniors by saying that you dont have a family life, so please sit and complete the xyz work. single people are made to work for much longer because their personal time (alone, doing chores, or with friends) is not respected at all.

One of the reasons for bad work culture is also the HR department. In most companies, employees are hesitant to complain to the HR because they know that HR will give leeway to the seniors and in the end, nothing will happen to the senior who is unprofessional, but the person would be targeted again as the HR will inform everyone about who complained. Another reason is also that many companies in India are MNCs where the whole point of hiring Indians is that they can overwork them and they in turn chill. So, the Indian management is encouraged to overwork the employees under the guise of "increasing efficiency".

I left corporate job because I am very simple and straightforward person. I too almost got dead by overwork in one project working 30 days a month 16-20 hours everyday . I was admitted in icu due to it and couldn't go to job for 2 months for with i wasn't paid any salary and marked leave without pay. It costed me 4 lakh & company insurance only paid 1 lakh. Still i resumed work with much enthusiasm but my peers who did nothing but smoked, drinked with managers, brought rajniganda, Russians for them got promotion.

I have worked under the American culture Chinese culture but I never work under the Indian culture, one thing that I have noticed that those people who cry over the fact their manager is so straight and blah blah blah and always asking to be on time the same people will be managers in the future so it is not like that your manager came out of India and try to ruling you the problem is the Indian culture whenever an Indian gets the power he misuses his power and try to abuse people it happens into the politics it happens into the police is happens all over the places where Indians are at the same thing is happening over and over again in the work culture so whenever you cry over your manager you need to remember the one day you will be manager at that particular time you need to think about the perspective of your employee that what you used to think.

I have been very hardworking in my last company. They didn’t promote me for my six consecutive interviews giving me vague answers but I did continue working hard and finally got the well deserved promotion by this I want to express how much favouritism is there in corporate.

Why?? 1) very strict labor laws 2) There is a mandate that if an employer needs to let a employee go, employer need to talk and inform authorities and then they need to pay big amount to employee.... but India ha ya BJP ka Bharat... humain toh bas Hindu Muslim karna hai..... Toxic culture is also in government job. 1. No time management and everyday late arrival. 2. Junior employee though come on time but high ranking officer arrived lately some even come in late evening and expect that junior should stay late with them 2. High ranking official or senior always give all works to one employee who r either able to say no or out of fear and many other reason. Instead distribute the work among the employee so that work can be done efficiently and within period. 3. Some employee get no work as this employee help in gaining monetary and other benefits to its senior. 4. You are right about favouritism favour . 5. Maximum govt employee got back door to get job. Recently now it's corrupt free but still people mentality not change. This I have said about govt job. 6. Though many high ranking officer come by cracking toughest job but maximum of them have no moral ethics

1. Favouritism exists in every part of world, Ik people working in UK, US, europe, UAE, ARAB, JAPAN. There is alot of favouritism. 2. Corporate politics always has been a part of Corporate. 3. Indian govt. failed in controlling these Corporates by laws, but they control MNCs when it comes to taxes. 4. People who deserve 20LPA are forced to work for 6LPA highly underpaid due to huge supply. 5. Every level in Corporate know about it and the generational trauma continues. Trust the person seating at the top faced the similar experience.

All what in this video says r so true , videshon mei aisa hi hota hain , tabhi videshon mei logon ki naukri ka koi bharosa hi nahin hota , job atmosphere kehte hain , log bahoot hi kharab hote hain parr bahoot hi sweet dikhte hain , log doosron ke problem se khudko soothing karte hain . Aur kisi ko kisi se vishwaas nahin karte aur hote hain .bahooot hi kharab situation hote hain ,aur log jo bharat se private company ke mal8k ya importand log training ke liye jaate hain woh log yahin sabkuch sikhkar waapas aate hain ,aur work toxic situation hote hain .

Because we need everything instantly, we are always trying to cut corners , take short cut , we don't want to stand in lines or want work in right ways.... even when our dish tv goes for 5 mins we raise 1000 complaints and if not done complain again....then the boss whose watching these complains gives bamboo to juniors to get it done asap.....so here yours toxic work culture cycle..we need instantly that's why

Some major problems of Indian workplaces are - 1. Poor implementation of labour laws and policies. 2. Overload of work. Employee handling jobs of 4 person. 3. Relentless downsizing and unequal hiring. 4. Ghosting and fake job applications. 5. Unrealistic expectations and eligibility conditions and criteria for entry level jobs. 6. Unethical business practices. 7. Rapid privatisation and weakening of PSU and other government companies, enterprises.

Very nice video. I am working in a PSU Bank as an Officer since 2011. These days we are also working under immense pressure. There are average 65-70 working hours in a week. Even subordinate staff are having miserable life at work place.

सीधी सी बात है, इन कॉरपोरेट्स को कुछ ज्यादा भाव दे दिया। छोड़ो इन की नौकरियां , कोई छोटी नौकरी, या बिजनेस करो, जिसमें दो वक़्त का खाना खा सको। वैसे भी ज्यादा कमा लिया तो भी सरकार मोटा टैक्स वसूली करेगी, क्या फायदा।

The fact is middle class job holds will suffer until become manager and boss then same pressure exert on them, they forget their struggling days starting behaving same as their bosses and ppl who studied from elite colleges universities go abroad settle there, ppl who don't have opportunity will criticize them for not being desh bhakt and brain drain concept. the frustrated employee come from office to home after drinking to avoid this pain and abuse their family, wife in some cased domestic voilence. then suddenly all the around ppl started to judge him or her by their bad character, habit and nature. now this man is totally sit and disrespectable in work place, soceity, family and failure for himself at biggest. that's it.
