► Why INFPs Struggle to Connect with Other Personalities
The INFPs are exceptional humans who are very understanding and empathetic, even to those they do not understand.
One of their weak points is they need help to make deep connections with other individuals due to their selective nature.

Infp, don’t care about friendships. based on experiences it’s more chill alone and I have enough things to do on my own. I am nice to people anyways but prefer a comfortable distance to people. People give me headaches otherwise.

Is it possible for a person to be free from bullshit, some natural toxicity (by virtue of being insane humans that we all are) and some disrespect given that INFPs friendships tend to be intense A little less judgmental, more forgiving, alongwith learning n practising assertive communication to protect boundaries instead of cutting off for self-protection.......help us maintain more friendships in the long run I was previously friendless. Replacing slowly, my cutting off tendency with assertive communication skills..... reaching out to people I cut off.....helped n continues helping me in making more friends ~INTJ

@@gksurabhi Practically speaking all this is possible. But you would have to be an INFP and HSP to understand the challenges that we face as feelers. Believe me when I say INFPs are constantly trying to improve themselves and their ability to tolerate. But we weren't put on this earth to desensitize ourselves, but to remind others how important love, kindness and compassion are.

@@nicolafarnhill2184 Extend the love n compassion to understand everyone's struggling inside, instead of desensitising. Repair after Conflict....is key to maintaining friendships..... the INFPs I know are now evolving n never cut off (earlier used to in their twenties max) Infact, I have heard online, female INFPs comment on how they find it impossible to comprehend how any human relationship can be just truncated; it's always experienced as a continuation, they say

@@gksurabhi I don't think you understand what I'm saying. I don't cut people off from a misunderstanding. I just don't reconnect with people who I don't align with me or who have hurt me. I don't feel the need to. As a therapist I fully understand everyone has their challenges, as an INFP I am more that aware of patterns of behaviour. I just don't need people in my life who aren't right for me and me, them. In the world today there is a large amount of people that have a lot of narcissistic characteristics and are highly dangerous to highly sensitive people. Some ties have to be broken, even with parents.

@@nicolafarnhill2184 When anyone portrays themselves as saviours n angels, that amounts to grandiosity and that happens from a place of B&W thinking..... Angels vs Demons..... Good vs Bad Nobody is evil. It's just a concept of us vs them. Difference in perspectives Usually n ironically, it's when we are struggling with self-acceptance n self-compassion, that we are unable to be accepting of n compassionate towards others, and end up seeing some people as toxic n evil.... it's labeling people, instead of compassionately understanding them from a safe distance, as suffering people, struggling to manage their inner self/child

And the gossiping thing, yeah, I live in an apartment building and there are so many people that gossip about each other, I wish not to engage. I'm starting to lose my faith in people! They scary!

Wow, all of this was accurate. Especially the part about not finding like-minded people. I feel like I come off as too emotional or intense at times, so I do my very best to tone it down and keep things light hearted, fun and surface level. But then it’s like, how long do we have to keep this going? When can we have meaningful in-depth conversations without it being weird? All this surface level feel so unfulfilling and sometimes pointless.

It makes me so heard to see this, and thank-you deary so much. I'm an infp a teenager at that yet it's so hard meeting people who get you or who don't have a problem with you being emotional or intense, I've made friends but I feel that they shy away from me and idk I'm left alone I know I'm a sensitive person and I like deep conversations that appear weird, but I wish it wasn't like this. That in order for someone to have any appeal to us we have to be less serious just light hearted and funny 🌕🧡

I was never a hermit. I love to connect with people who can have deep conversations and I am very understanding, I can't be around people who gossip and are judgmental. I like to explore., My energy is off the charts and I hate conflicts. I like to be around like-minded people who are understanding and show compassion I love nature and the beauty of this planet. I have a hard time finding like-minded people It is very difficult for me to have shallow conversations.

Who else is struggling? Raise your hands! ✌ I am struggling that's for sure, always having that inner conflict... I want social contact, yet... i just don't feel like it and prefer to go home. single now for 3 years and i am 40 now. Time is ticking and i really need to get over this or i'll be alone forever. Got a question, are you ashamed of your own feelings? I'm not ashamed of my feelings, but to share them is something i do struggle with. Silly things, like showing a girl that i like her. I don't really show it to her and instead i start to ignore her because of all the feelings inside.. On the other side, i'm so open and can easily share what i think or feel.. but when the feeling gets to close to my heart and i get insecure about it.. then it's... hard to open up for me. Find it so silly.. how will she know that i like her? When i am too afraid to show that to her. While when i look at other people, they just say it or just show it to her.. it looks so easy... but... lol

But you wouldn't have ghosted her if she was decent enough now would you? There are just 3 possible scenarios for this situation: 1. You tell her everything and thereby hurt her since she is not as self aware as you are, thus making her angry and then you end up being a bitch in her eyes - forever. 2. You continue toxic relationship, say nothing, let her step all over you. You wither inside amd lose will to live basically. 3. You say nothing and ghost her - let her live her own life without getting hurt by the truth. She gets hurt by ghosting but not nerely as much by the *truth*. So which scenario is the best, you tell me. 😅

Thank you so deeply dears. 💖 Glad U Share this. I asked older people: Do U know the difference between Extro and Intro: No. They do Not even know this and IT helps so much understanding in depth. If I would have known this earlier, I would have known, understood Others and myself earlier. Thanks for Sharing. 💖☺️ Love to Introverts, Ambiverts and infp/infj. And I Always thought that this infp was as openhearted with Others Like with me...but I Had No Congrats, finding Out much later, that He did Not even Share that depth with His asian beloved sister. This Awareness was kinda shocking, I did Not know. ITS good to do more Te and watch and ask for truth. And Imagine you would be a shy introvert or one with Attachment Issues, or ocd, any similar, than communication will be much more Important but Not easy for introverts

Being stubborn irrationally (Fi-Si) loop, is one of the issues they say, of INFPs Don't we all come with so-called toxic behaviours capable of driving people close to us crazy insane n in turn bringing out their toxic behaviours Being adamant for INFP values: INFP perspective Being adamant irrationally: others perspective We all are capable of being toxic n provoking others into exhibiting their toxic behaviours, in turn Adamant to not self-introspect their adamant behaviours because INFPs refuse to see it as anything beyond their INFP values....... One area requiring serious introspection by developing their inferior cognitive function of thinking? And which also holds the super power to break the isolation pattern in INFP n seeing others as toxic....while ignoring their own toxicity? Ni shadow becomes overactive in looping phase. Ni shadow in looping, is narrow minded conclusions. After the cooling off period, Ne, the main tool, becomes accessible n can be used to understand multiple perspectives......for self-introspection, self-acceptance n self-compassion first n foremost and that will naturally help us be accepting of others n help us have a compassionate understanding towards others
