Excellent conversation. I am a Florida homeowner who was ordered to “replace roof covering in 30 days.” (An impossibility of performance, as wait time for cement tiles was 6 weeks, AFTER a roofer was hired.). Roofer worked during torrential downpours, using the underlayment as a tarp for more than a week, then attaching the same underlayment to roof deck before deck was dry. Roofer trashed my home and then abandoned job, likened and sued me. I still have no roof FIVE years later. Out of pocket hundreds of thousands of dollars on legal, “engineering “ and damages to my property. Roofer is still in business and boldly advertising their dedication to quality, honesty, customer satisfaction, etc. I am a senior citizen and don’t know if I will survive this financial hit. My insurance company denied my claim for the damages to my home.

I have serviced solar panels and his words are exactly what I'm hearing from people who have owned systems for the past 10 years or longer. Have also re-set systems and it's not cheap!

Slightly different subject, I work on a big 4 story neraly 200 room building with a flawed ABS DWV product. The company missed the class action lawsuit, and today after years of leaks, there's extensive damage to the structure. lawsuit ended in the early 1990s, so they're too late to get monies for it.

I wish people would say almost nobody is doing dadada, instead of nobody. We have severe training, every superintendent is certified through our own system. Do you truly think you're the only one caring about quality? Our system guarantees we can't be sued, we know and can prove every system was done as per manufacturer specifications

That's interesting. I just browsed your Facebook Page and see several installation deficiencies.

How many contractors today even worked on the roof for 10 years most of them read books and tell you what’s the right way to do it if you never done it how could you preach it?

Why don’t insurance companies hold manufacturers to their warranty? manufacturers are owned by who investors who are some of the bigger investors insurance providers, filling their back pockets. they can’t with their money coming from insurance, but they can control rules and regulation with their lobbyist to help profit their personal investments. so why would they go after manufacturers they invested into?
