Excellent recap of what CLO3D does, potential creative and/or real life process applications and importance of focus on your area of strength and interest. Being patient was key for me. Thank you!

Hi! any thoughts on learning patternmaking from scratch with Clo3D?
@BobbinTalk3 жыл бұрын
Sure you can play around in CLO with flat patterns, but the simulations are deceiving. I would suggest doing real patterns too even if it’s in half scale. That will help you understand fit and drape better.

CLO has a lot of great tutorial on their channel, I have some good videos 😉 and if you wanted a certificate, Parsons School of Design has a 4 level certificate program online. I developed level 3 in that program

realllly trying to get into patterning and learn how to take my patterns from 3d to real life to execute my ideas. thought it'd be easier since I've worked in blender-- but the numbers with patterning have always been the difficult part for me.

I hear you!! It’s never easy transitioning to a new system or software. You can do it!!

Can I ask who taught you how to use the programme?
@BobbinTalk Жыл бұрын
I was trained by CLO3D reps, so I can teach the software at Parsons School of Design in NYC.

I have a lot of videos on KZbin and teach an online certificate program at Parsons School of Design. I'll keep adding videos to KZbin and organize them in levels too.

Hi, loved the video! How did you find out Yuejia Du's work? I've been looking for it for reference in 3D work and I can't find it

Is it possible to add clothing and ideas to a 2d model?
@BobbinTalk2 жыл бұрын
In CLO3D you have a 2D window where you create all the patterns. You can also draw your patterns free form there. Other than that this is not the software for 2D models.

hello😀,Hello, how can I use Clo 3D to get a seamless panty? Because it is seamless and seamless, I don't know how to express it in the software, other sewing is very easy. Looking forward to your reply (Google translate 😅)
@BobbinTalk2 жыл бұрын
You can create a thermal tape as topstitching and use it on top of the seams to cover them. You would find a small jpg image of a tape that’s appropriate and bring it in as texture for custom topstitching. And then just use that topstitching on top of the seams.

@BobbinTalk2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment! One big takeaway from this video is that you need to know and understand pattern making, draping and sewing in real life in order to create real garments and accessories in CLO3D.
