I quit drinking cause I realized the ‘good’ feeling after a glass of alcohol lasts only 15 minutes but a day without alcohol gives me a great night of sleep, a clear mind and a 16-hour productive day. So glad I realized this ❤

Some people just grown tired of the disturbed sleep, dehydration, the unproductive days and the overall negative effects of alcohol. Once we decide to take the alcohol break, we look for true information that supports our decisions. When I first took my alcohol break at 29 in 1995, I was surrounded by heavy party drinkers including my roommates. The only thing that had then was AA and alot of us didn't resonate to that program. Now there's an abundance of information allowing us to make informed decisions. Great commentary.

A few weeks ago I was bored and started thinking about how long I’ve been drinking and how much. The rough math was that the last forty years I’ve spent about $200,000.00 on booze I basically drank away a Ferrari or a nice house on 10 acres in Ohio somewhere. That’s when I quit. Have great day everyone

Alcohol and cigarettes addiction actually destroyed my life. I could remember several years ago after divorce with my wife which brought me into my disastrous journey on Alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

I always admire those who beat their addiction. Knowing it's possible to fix your life knowing there's people out there that have done what I thought was impossible gives me hope I will make it through as well. Those who share their experiences don't know how much it helps when you're about to give up, it gives you the strength knowing somone who actully know what it's like to go through this tell you it's possible, it's not the same somone telling you you can do it when they have no idea what it's like, but hearing somone who knows what it's like that helps a lot since you understand it firsthand and made it out gives so much hope. so thanks for sharing.

Great video! The reason why more people are quitting alcohol is, because they're becoming more health-conscious and are aware of the potential negative effects of alcohol on their physical and mental well-being. Alcohol can contribute to weight gain, liver damage, increased risk of certain diseases, impaired cognitive function, and mental health issues. As a result, some individuals decide to quit alcohol to improve their overall health and quality of life. Thanks for the helpful video Leon! 🙌❤

❤ This video is certainly a good psychological assessment of how you see the world after stopping drinking, so it’s pointing to an outcome rather than acting as a driver. Health is certainly a major driver and it helps if you’re already taking steps towards lifestyle changes that will effect better health. Weening yourself off of sugar, processed foods, seed oils, fluoride etc and away from alopathic medicines you’ll soon realise that alcohol is just another toxic substance your body (especially your brain!) will be much better off without. Alcohol is a tough one because of all the social connectios and the long history of use/ misuse that has been marketed to make you think it’s an essential part of life, the reality for those of us that have freed ourselves from it’s clutches is a far better, healthier life that has many benefits and absolutely no downsides!😊

I appreciate the concept that it's mirroring. However, there is not doubt that more and more people are quitting drinking. There's an entire new demographic of young people that are on taking care of themselves, even if they lead what most of would consider to be extreme or alternative lifestyles. Alcohol is just not as compatible with life in modern society as it was when the world moved at the 70s-early 2000s pace. It is most definitely a thing.

Finally realized I couldn't mask my social anxiety with excessive booze after years of being a weekend lush.. My own "hitting bottom" was absurdly low key thank God yet enough to result in my saying ENOUGH. (LOL. After 30 some years of getting wasted on weekends (only) I crumpled to the floor like a rotted old tree on a Sunday afternoon in a bar and had to be all but loaded like a cadaver into a cab and sent home. Alcohol is a DRAMA Magnet. Sobriety is just the opposite. it's subtle and once you stop believing you are missing something or that people will like you more when inebriated it becomes a very tranquil and beautiful way to live life. You will also lose weight bodily and gain weight financially in your wallet. I highly recommend sobriety and you don't have to live with that icky shame feeling anymore.

Once you look at the high as a lie that will always be a lie and confront that reality its easier to stop. Its hard to stop if you cannot be honest enough with yourself and examine the symptoms of the dependency. Mine was the feeling of being high and not being stressed, but my base mood level is too low, and only by eliminating drugs and alcohol can I move that base level higher so in a 'normal' state you dont feel so compelled to use. I only learned that recently but its pure logic

Why do you have a video for men only? I’m a 68 year old woman that has had a problem with drinking for years. I have started watching your videos and I’m very interested in the mindset. Unfortunately it’s not only men that have this problem and want to get out of it. I’m not an entrepreneur. I’m a little old lady living on a pension that has a problem.

I did 138 days last year before having a drink on Xmas Eve and ruining everything (back to square one). The thing is, I was bored. Everyone I know gets smashed at the weekend and I was staying in alone pretty much cos it would have been too much temptation. It’s like a choice between a shit life drunk or a shit life sober.

I think the internet has largely taken drinking out of the pub and into the home. Without restrictions of cost, driving and publically making a complete arse of yourself, people naturally drink more and harder alcohol at home. As a result, they're seeing more and more people getting irreversibly sick and dying around them or perhaps they want to slow or stop the damage alcohol has already caused them. Whichever it is, they no longer want to participate and therefore give up alcohol.

What an assessment of drinking mores ! Before I got sober, I collapsed at home and saw my imminent demise before my drunken eyes--an epiphany I believe, to keep my from dying at home ! I pray that you and I will continue to be unfettered from the shackles that is Alcoholism ! GBY & all others...

You may have to deal with three or four days of forcing yourself to replace it with something like exercise or hanging out with certain people but it will get easier quickly. Use melatonin or benadryl to sleep the first few nights. Slam a lot of water and electrolytes. Eat whatever you feel like eating even if it's unhealthy instead of drinking. Escape the grip of alcohol and then never forget why you wanted to stop.

I recorded a voice note in my own voice telling myself what alcohol is and all the bad things alcohol will do to me. "If I continue to drink alcohol, I will soon die...and so on. I will destroy my heart, liver, kidney, and so on. I will be on a sick bed. I will continue to waste my life, time, money and so on. Alcohol companies are making money while I destroy myself...blah blah blah..." Do same. Make it a strict warning audio message. Listen to it when on my way back from work and on the weekends or when the trap cravings come. You have to scare yourself out of alcohol.
