@@mk-19memelauncher65the finals is a banger of a game, gives you a lot of freedom of expression on how to play, power shift is a perfect casual mode, Terminal attack is a mid mode for a lot of players but it’s huge for people that are into those kinds of modes and cash out the main mode is a blast to play, I’ve seen people who use sword wipe whole teams, lights the most popular class gets tons of value, you got your heavy’s which brings a skill set that’s related to tank roles from other games and mediums being such a balanced class.

Fun fact: Apex Legends s1 - s10 had only 3 event SALES while s11-s19 had 35. On the contrary Apex legends s1 - s10 had 33 LTM not including valentines day duos whule s11-19 had 24. So basically we are getting less game modes and more skins and cosmetics.🙃

Glad you mentioned audio. Apex's audio is worse every season. Sometimes the audio works fine. Other times, ability sound effects and other noises override enemy footsteps, which happens a lot. Sometimes it sounds like a player is right next to you or 1 floor above you, but no, they're actaully on top of the building 3 floors up and their footsteps sound loud like they're right next to you. Sometimes you hear an enemy clearly 2 buildings over, at other times there is an enemy walking right next to you, completely silent no audio. The audio is inconsistent. And Loba's black market has been bugging in Mixtape for over a year, and still hasn't been fixed.

The final nail in the coffin for me was the refusal to address the horrible SBMM. For reference the best rank I've ever gotten was low plat so I'm at an average skill level give or take. The sheer amount of masters/pred players that are put into my games, whether it be qp or ranked, is unacceptable. I feel like I'm just cannon fodder for players who are much better than me. Makes it even worse when I'm constantly paired with bad teammates. Even when I play with friends it's not much better. Instead of having fun we always end up angry and stressed out. I'm just tired of it now. Apex could be incredible but instead it's being run into the ground by EA's greed.

ive been playing this game since release mainly with 1 friend of mine, almost always duos or trios with no fill. for the past 1 1/2 years or so weve pretty much only been playing at the end of season to get bp to max lvl since the enjoyment of the game has just gone down so much with the changes to sbmm and everything else but well, theres nothing like apex so we still had our hopes up. now with the bp changes its 90% likely we are just completely quitting cuz we have nothing to play for anymore and none of us wants to spend 20€ per season on a game we dont enjoy alot anymore.

Everything you said is so valid. MnK really is a huge influence in gaming, controller dominant games can have good numbers but a volatile player base and a lack of respect. I play both inputs and MnK is objectively worse, controller can rank higher with less game sense which makes solo queue unbearable sometimes. I can perform better on controller at times with like 1/8th of the hours than I have on MnK,. If I want to play MnK I play a different game. I also feel like they have been making gameplay changes less and less with bad metas and stale maps. Its clear the shift in priority and funding, it feels like they want to just nuke the game and cashout.

I quit at the start of season 21 because: 1) playing on 20 tic servers like this just became unbearable with the amount of nonregs and death behind walls 2) ranked is unplayable for average folk because all the cheaters (and rollers) 3) they nerfed car and r99 because of rollers instead of nerfing AA and it was the most fun 2 guns with the highest skill floor. because of the rollers they also nerfed horizon, who was my main and the most fun character for me. 4) they nerfed wingman, wich has a very high skill ceiling and was very fun to use started writing all of this before even watching the video, glad you agree

Same man, I have around the same hours on MnK, but not specifically in Apex, but I spent a lot of time grinding R5 because I love the movement in this game. I've literally used mixtape just to practise and the roller players literally don't even know where I am on most the death replays, but as soon as their crosshair finds me it just doesn't move..

But off the top of my head they are the only movement techs controller can't do, and before they removed configs they could do all of it and didn't even need to learn how to lurch. And whilst I agree movement can help mitigate damage, in a game where the objective is to output damage (like Gruic mentions in this very video) aim consistency is stronger than movement.

I quit many seasons ago (~S13), (20k kills) I have reached masters multiple times, had pub stomping seasons with 5000/450 kills/wins and then after doing all that I felt I had "completed" apex then I played less and became a casual player but the game became way too stale and boring when you're a casual player that isnt grinding ranked or kills/wins. There just wasn't enough content and updates to the game to keep me going. Now I exclusively play singleplayer games and am having much more fun. I hope one day Apex can do something to bring players like myself back to the game

Nobody likes the movement in this game. You like bugs that were never intended and are cheating. They would be called cheating in any other game you do them in. Easily one of the biggest reasons this game is dying. People see ridiculous unintended movement and give up. It's stupid to shoot at, it's stupid to look at, it's mentally draining to constantly figure out which bullshit you'll be dealing with at any given time due to a complete lack of readability. As easy as it is to do all of it, it's dumb and feels cringy to use. It's not healthy for any game. It needs to go away completely along with a good slap to aim assist so people aren't stuck dying instantly for no reason at all.

I have an embarrassing amount of time in this game but I have been mostly inactive in the last 6 months due to the complete lack of communication, improvements, and constant cheaters. I think why people don't play can be summarized like this. This game used to feel like when I died to someone it was because they were just either a lot better then me, or played that fight a lot better. Now a days it feels like I just got locked on and insantly died sub 20 to a roller, or someone is wall hacking, aim hacking and it never feels good. If i play MnK (I do) and i slide into a guy who clearly looks like a lost puppy. Ive done opening damage to him, have the advantage. grapple in, and im instantly obliterated by a bloodhound who can't get past 2k damage badge because he was on controller, didn't miss a bullet. got too close. Now your on controller its the same experience. You walk a little to close to a player you are fully aware is far worse then you. But he started shooting first and didn't miss a single shot from his FREE lock on and you died. NO ONE steps away from these deaths like oh yea that was fair and hes just a good player. This game used to be in a LEGENDARY status of games because when you died to people you felt like damn, that guy was a fucking goon and he just shit on me. I hardly ever have this feeling about apex anymore. What is completely mind blowing to me is the big argument is "controller can't move like MnK" Yet it is EXTREMELY bannable to download programs that would give your keyboard "gamepad" input allowing aim assist on MnK, THATS CHEATING. But if I plugged my controller in, downloaded inputs and other scripts to run to allow my controller to move while looting, wall bounce, any other move tech. Totally legal. Its always a one sided argument. my final point ELDEN RING. This game we all know is successful because its challenging, and MOST IMPORTANTLY it FEELS FUCKING FAIR. When you die you were being too greedy, hitting too many times, healing too early, miss timing the dodge on their attack. There is ALWAYS something I could have done better. In apex, ESPECIALLY in the last 6 months to a year. It almost NEVER feels like damn if I JUST DID THIS BETTER. IF I JUST DID THAT INSTEAD IF I JUST DID X Y Z I WOULD WIN. The game NEVER feels like this. The game always feels like ok everytings norm- that guy didn't miss a single bullet I died instantly ok. he just instantly killed another guy on my team and were squad wiped hes cheating. I get to close he SLOW turns to me doesn't miss a shot im insta dead as i call out to my allies "hes on controller be careful" why the fuck is this a actually valid call out to my friends? Why is "hes on controller watch out" immediately force us to play so much more scared and avoid being close range at almost all costs. There should be "counter play" and there really doesn't feel like there is besides cheating myself, or buying a controller with a strikepack. which just kills the whole vibe and makes me wanna quit the game.

I'm a MnK player but recently picked up controller and actually learned it. I miss tap strafing and other movement tech but the difference in KDR speaks for itself. MnK KDR for Season 21 is 1.22 while Controller (Different account so I can keep track of these things) 1.33 and JUST picked up controller. So I wasn't terrible on MnK but I'm already better on controller. Assuming I keep at it. I'll likely end up with a much higher KDR than I've ever been able to achieve on MnK. I think also the fact so many people play controller also skews my MnK lower than it normally would be. Also since I now have a good understanding of aim assist, there so many cheaters that I thought were controller players previously.

I really liked playing Apex, but other than the fact that MnK player base is being crapped on by roller players I still wanted to learn and to kind of improve in the game... I hate virtually everything about how its managed. I agree with its potential, but... If I controlled the game, I would take it offline and remove or completely redo matchmaking and separate inputs before I brought it back online, at a minimum.

But all of the major issues have been getting worse for a long time now with no solutions or communication in sight. Some of the movement nerfs in the past like patching punch boosting and gravity cannon tapstrafing made the game a whole lot less fun for me.. That and i can never just relax and have fun in this game because the matchmaking won't let you, why can't i just have a chill game that i don't have to sweat all game just to die to a predator. I haven't been in many lobbies with cheaters but honestly I've got to respect some of them for breaking the game so bad, at least the ones who make their own cheats, not so much for the people who buy cheats just to troll a specific person or whatever. I genuinely love this game to death, the movement the gunplay and the general feel of the game is something i havent found in any other fps. I stopped playing a few months ago mainly because my mouse scroll wheel broke and im too broke to fix it but also because the game has just been going downhill. I have been playing since season 6 and there are still bugs in the game that have been there since season 6, and then you have the cheater problem. Its only natural people leave the game is unplayable.

The main problem is matchmaking in my opinion. This game has the worst casual experiance out of any game I’ve played so far. In every other game the SBMM works pretty good for the most part and matches people with similar skill levels but in Apex if you have anything to do other than playing the game 4 to 8 hours a day you just don’t stand a chance. I’m average with a 1.3 k/d and I’m constantly matched with people who have 30k kills on a legend, are Preds or just no lifes 3 stacking. This isn’t fun for anybody who just gets on the game for 4-5 hours weekly. Not to mention that my teammates are usually people who are half my level and mostly below average skill wise.

Audio tip: you don't have to speak straight into a mic you can point it at your mouth from the side and it will be the same quality but without air pops, you won't even need a pop filter.

I agree that the battlepass change isn't the worst of the problems. it sucks but makes sense that a company doesn't want people buying one and getting the rest for free. I could see positives such as - more people buying battlepass means more money for them to fix issues and maybe drop the prices of events (don't think any of this will actually happen). I can definitely think of more negatives than positives though. As for game balancing, there will always be something broken, and balance does come and go. Audio is horrendous and input balancing is horrendous, but they are just silent on every community issue because they do not see it as an issue.

The real issue about MnK VS Controller is the fact that Controller lacks many movement abilities, so Respawn decides instead of updating controller properly, we even the playing field by making it easier to hit those who DO have those movement abilities. I used to be a controller player when I played, and I do not know what the proper solution to this would be aside completely locking out controllers from mnk servers which wouldn't work with the amount of 3 stacks with differing inputs, but the aim assist solution is such a cop out. I would say this lazy solution is the main part of what is causing most of the main MNK vs Controller issues. Fortnite along with many other games don't have this issue because you can do everything on a controller that you can do on a keyboard and mouse, and that is more fair than anything Respawn have even attempted to do.

I agree. Instead of creating a gap between the two inputs (tap strafe and aim assist), we should try to make the two as equal and balanced as possible. My suggestion is that they add tap strafing, moving while looting, and other movement on controller, and nerf aim assist by at least .1. In return aim assist should be nerfed to balance out all the new movement controller gets.

the roller issue I think is slightly more nuanced. Many roller players are actually casual and are still quite bad with aim assist. They're the ones I usually get on my team and I'd probably kill them 10/10 of times. Roller players who are going more insane, are either sweats with a lot of time in and tweaked optimized settings and/or 3rd party software. But one of the hidden OP things about aim assist, is the way it counters the visual clutter. How many shots do we miss simply because we can't fucking see through all the bullshit that is completely negated by aim assist lol

I’ve been a roller player in different games for like 8 years now but I have been switching more and more to mnk for apex jus bc controller is so much less fun, like why would i want a game to be partially played for me and honestly i hate it. im praying that ea re evaluates their priorities because i dont know how much longer this game will stay alive otherwise 😢

so one problem always leads to another, I always mained Wraith, but today's meta is a controller-Havok, so I have to obuse L-Star-Revenant to at least somehow neutralize the fact that I am playing against 3 stack or 4 stack squads where all of them masters predators with a controller in there hands, and it's sad but real 😑

The point I try to make in the video (and the comment on screen at 6:02) is that the two inputs are way too unbalanced in respect to their skill floor/skill ceiling. The triple MNK thing was pretty surprising ngl, but they are pro players that have put in a lot of effort to be better than other controller pros. Controller makes it easier for bad players to kill good players, but if you’re already really good on MNK, you can still match in skill or be better than any controller player.

I can't believe that they're pushing this out and not fixing the bugs that are making hundreds of pc players not able to play the game because of constant freezes. I used to love this game, but after seeing this crap happen I'm trying to find another game that doesn't have horrendous companies trying to squeeze as much money from it as possible. Apex would've been peak if it leaned into being almost 100% casual, with changes that are fun, without worrying to much about competitiveness. This also means no SBMM. Completely random matchmaking. Just like in the old days, there will always be players at the bottom, middle, top, rather than everyone being forced upwards if they want to stand a chance, alienating casual players and forcing the rest to improve while still getting their ass beaten by complete no-lifes that are having their lives destroyed through their apex addiction. Competitive gaming outside of specifically eSports for eSports athletes was a mistake.

I really love this game, got thousands of hours on it. But the way the game is handled by Developers and EA, I just cant see myself playing this game for much longer. Frustration is growing and it doesnt look like they're going to fix the blatant issues

I play apex for the battle pass and for ranked. I enjoy buying the battle pass, and that is a reason why I play. I don't want to spend money, but I want to earn the battle pass with my saved apex coins. Now that I have to spend money, this will be my last season religiously playing the game. If I can't play the way I used to for the past 5 years (buying apex coins once and purchasing every battlepass), I dont want to. But this is just me. I don't care about the "yOu DoN't HaVe To PuRcHaSe it" I know I don't. I played the game for the "free battle pass" now that they're taking that away. I don't need to play anymore. It's been fun

also i think you can word the controller issue better by stating it as a problem with AA rather than controller. It's not a problem that mnk is becoming less meta and controller is becoming more meta, if controller was genuinely the best way to put all of you (the player) into the game (have full freedom to input yourself) then that would be a good thing actually. The problem is that controller cuts down on self expression and just has a machine do work for you so what we get is players who aren't putting in the effort being rewarded more

I agree with the comment that says that controller raises the skill floor while mnk raises the skill ceiling. I don't like roller personally I tried it and I didn't like playing with it; it made the game feel boring, and feels like your aiming at magnets. Skill floor for roller should be lowered by a lot, because of the somewhat recent uptick in pros switching from MnK to Roller, and the dullness of roller entirely.

Had to leave this game in s14 mostly due to input inbalance and poor ranked system. It sucks because i feal that apex has the best core mechanics i have ever played. There is sooo much skill expression through movement, posotioning, aim (besides aa) etc... but the devs really dont seam to care. Looks like it has only gotten worse and that sucks to see honestly.

everything from that is faxx besides tickrate. since battle royal games have been always running on 20-30 tickrate. yeah they could potentially get it up to 30 and it could be better, but the price for servers is gonna increase alot (like actually alot). so other than that, faxx my love

All of your comments are excellent and watching you play makes me want to go play right now even though the game is so toxic and broken. Be me. Above average player. Highly competitive. I hate losing anything but I can cope with losing when I lose to a player like you. Losing to a cheater is like a blender in my brain. I'm in my mid-50s and still play at a reasonably high competitive level in a whole bunch of games and I do so because I have kids that are almost 30 and I have nephews who are teenagers and I have grandkids who will be playing in the next 10 years. My generation did not have participation, trophies. You won because you were prepared or you had more talent or you worked harder. You didn't win because you bought a $5 cheat. We took those people behind the bleachers and taught them lessons. I have spent stupid levels of money on this game but I completely stopped spending money on it about 2 years ago. The only reason that I still play today is my friends. My online long-term friends. Some of them over 20+ years of competitive fps together. They literally had the chance to create a highly competitive FPS on the level of CS Go longevity but for the little wackadoodles like us that love the high-speed frenetic pace. Now you play a few hours so that you get one or two games of the old magic this game had in fall and summer of 2019. RIP Apex Legends.

i stopped playing once they removed controller tap strafing. all of those issues like audio n legend meta very frustrating but removing tap strafing on controller was really the icing on the cake for me. that was a big part of why i started playing in the first place, i found gruic’s channel n went down the movement rabbit hole. i now have gone back to warzone which isn’t much better but definitely more enjoyable than apex for me

Tap strafing shouldn't exist at all. All movement glitches (cheating) are one of the biggest reasons they won't ever nerf aim assist.

Top controller players have already shown that you don't need aim assist to be good so it's only a matter of not wanting to improve.

Game studios just keep killing their golden geese. Even ignoring how apex keeps getting metas and legends that don’t allow it’s movement and gunplay systems to fully shine the sheer number of microtransactions will scare off anyone that isn’t knee deep. It certainly did for me
