This is my first video watching after subscribing! And WOW, I’m not disappointed! I’m looking to delve more into Theology of the Body, unfortunately, all I’ve learned from my body, sex, and love is what the world/culture has taught me and sadly that’s an in-humane, distorted and sadly, tragic view. For people against this, it’s probably only because it’s hard. It’s difficult. Of course it is. But there is no good argument FOR contraception, abortion, pre-marital sex, etc. It’s difficult sometimes for all of us to not follow our urges and to do the right thing… but that doesn’t mean it’s not the right thing to do. I’m sorry, I don’t know any child out of wedlock that hasn’t been deeply hurt and damaged from the choices that their parents made (including not being married). People, we all need to grow up and do the right thing. Sex is only for committed married couples because if a life is created, that life will flourish!

Using contraception essentially reduces sex to mutual masturbation. I think that many Christians have an approach to Holy Scripture where they assume if something isn’t explicitly written, then it’s not biblical. But we would do well to consider why Holy Scripture teaches that lust, fornication, masturbation, sodomy, etc. are sinful. Sexual desire is natural but has its proper end in the sexual union of a married couple. Marriage is a covenant. Jesus Christ, the bridegroom, gave Himself completely upon the cross, forming a new covenant in His blood with His bride, the Church. So a husband is meant to give himself completely to his bride, and the two are to become one flesh. Contraception means withholding a part of yourself from your spouse and defiling the covenant.

The institutional Church was not their for the families. They gave them no support in there time of need. Also rejecting The Church's true Traditions and teachings. And also upholding Our Lord's moral teachings. Only a repentant sinner goes to heaven.

This is a serious question. What exactly does your church say regarding STDs? Unfortunately, sometimes the wife or husband is unfaithful. The infidelity can lead to HIV contraction. Its ideal that both partners are faithful and truthful, but sadly this does not happen in the real world. I personally know women who caught HIV through an unfaithful husband.

You speak of the rise in fatherless children. What about the number of children left motherless after their mother died because of pregnancy complications that could have been avoided through having an abortion?

Yeah, I'd way rather be brutally ripped apart by forceps without even the ability to scream in pain because my lungs are full of water than spend a few years without a mother figure. Even the most religious people usually allow exceptions for the health of the mother, since 99% of the time the baby will die of she dies.

Offering children up for adoption and putting them in the foster care system most times isn’t heroic. Those children more often than not end up abused, impoverished, and with mental health and drug addiction problems

You could be right that it could make family break down more often, but big claim also requires big data to back it up. However don't neglect the fact that it help married couple engage with the activity without increasing the population count and burdening themselves with more child that they can handle. Birth control helps fight overpopulation, it played a huge role slowing birth rate which keeps going up. When it fail, sure abortion is the only way out, a bad one. But you know what is worse? child without having proper care, and also again, overpopulation. After all people like to have fun, and after marriage, nothing can stop them if they want to do it. I think only self control can help, but everyone lack of it at some point, even adam and eve. When the first human (according to bible) failed, how do we expect ourselves to not to follow the same path? What about gender role? Perhaps it's just the way nature works, people are born with both physical and psychological differences, even the one difference that we described as abnormal. Why can people be born with no arms and autistic, and yet claiming that people with male organs will always have male personalities?
