Rockstar didnt even do shit, they just gave the work to grove street games (the same studio that remastered SA in 2010s) and the worst of all is that grove street games and fucking mobile games developers, and they had little to no skill in terms of remastering a game to have good graphics on the pc and console, moral of this story: Rockstar dosent care anymore.

So they just gave a mobile game developer to make a remastered game for next gen consoles when they make simple games like other mobile games devs such as: Voodoo, Azur Games. @@andreivictor293 I installed San Andreas Definitive Edition on my NVMe Samsung 980 Pro with 7'000 MB/s READ Speeds. I play it with an RTX 3060Ti on my Samsung 4K QLED TV. I use the Xbox One S Controller. I played it for about 30 minutes since it came out, and the Mount Chiliod or whatever it's called looks very bad graphics wise, was worse than the original :( And the performance is bad. Also the buildings in the background look worse than the first Pokémon Game I had on the Original Gameboy, they are just odd looking blocks without anything.

Everyone noticed that Grove Street games is actually War Drum Studios which they changed their name for unknown reason

If phones could run ps3 games like those, even though Bioshock had many missions cut with ps2 graphics, they could easily put the full ps2 gta 100% on mobile Oddly GTA SA mobile is a near faithful version of the ps2 ones, which means they intentionally made GTA DE bad.

Written July 19, 2022 @storm fall I never said Bioshock for mobile ram well. I just said mobile in 2014 could play a scaled back version.. and if you go to Bioshock Hubs 2 review videos of Bioshock mobile, many people commented that they played it on mobile almost nearly flawlessly so I guess it varied 50% of the time if it was bug free or not. Unfortunately I never play Bioshock mobile as it got removed but those people did so..50% All I know is todays smartphones would totally run it at nearly max ps3 settings 8 years later.

I think the reason War Drum change their name to Grove Street is because they're based in Gainesville, Florida. The city has a small neighborhood called Grove Street, where the studio was founded. The HQ being located in that neighborhood makes the name change a coincidence.

update: Tap to sprint is in the options menu. i hate the def edtion :) you cant exit a car without leaving the door open. i died many times on burning vehicles due to the "closing door" animation . Clothing shops are even worst because you cant see what youve already bought and what bothers me the most is the missing music on all arcade videogame machines beside the messed up aiming system.

Just recently turned on my ps2 and played gta sa. Off the 5 minutes played theres hell of a difference in atmosphere (ps2 being superior while the ps4 version looked... weird), the NPC's hold hand and conversate! None of this is visible in the defective edition. Gang members almost instantly leaning on your car as soon as they see you, replying with "Sup homie"...

I personally loved all details of The Trilogy, although I felt they could've done more to Vice City, the map feels small and.. kinda boring to drive in. One thing that stands out to me out of the three games is the lift bridge in GTA3, that just showed how the devs back then were so good at what they were doing it almost looked like a flex in knowledge. Now the D.E. is out and it feels like any of the three de games could be re-done within a day by a high schooler.

I agree with everything you said except for the bike thing: in the original game they just didn’t add an animation nor a reaction for that, while in the definitive edition they tried to make the physics look better, and yes, they made it unrealistic, but it’s a detail that had them work more on the animations. Although, I think GTA SA was way better back in the days when it came out.
