@Elijah Nah, backstab just does a lot of damage not a guaranteed kill. The instakill is if you get a plunging attack on the exhaust port thing on top, makes the whole tank explode.

I'm pretty sure in some concept schematic, it shows that one fire monk operates the spot in the back while two others operate the wheels like Flintstones. xD Also worth noting that the back where the flamethrower operator is is an unprotected weak spot, but there's actually a critical spot you can hit on top(the fuel tank) if you somehow manage to get above and can pull off a lunging attack. Or I think I've also seen people do pretty dodgy jump attacks to click into the crit animation.

0:02 Welcome to I believe Mt. Gelmir. It's a location that I would call sort of a melting pot of everything heretical in Elden Ring lore. Mostly because of a man in the house in the center of the volcano that is Mt. Gelmir. What our brave Carbot found is a tiny Erd Tree with a golden seed. An item used to give you more flasks. But there is an upper limit to it and eventually it becomes worthless. 0:05 Oh yeah. And Mt. Gelmir is a volcano so Fire Pillars are a must. 0:10 These things are interesting. They are war machines build in image of a Fire Giant I believe. They are meant to invoke horror of facing one. Which as you may guess you WILL face at some point. Those things hit pretty damn hard when they charge at you and they burn you. There is also a shield that is basically a miniature version of those things. And they are also comically driven by some poor sods at the back of them. 0:15 Fighting them head on like this is not recommended. You need to get a weak point. 0:19 And that weak point just so happens to be at it's back. Yeah. They are not very well thought out Fire Tanks. 0:29 Spell Carbor used here is I think Unseen Form. It makes you harder to detect and you can get a quick backstab with it. Similar effect can be achieved with an armor of certain assassins. EDIT: It was actually mimic Veil. An item found in Stormveil castle that can turn you into a random object. In this case a bush. 0:30 Dead. Also on tip. You can also kill those things by jumping on top of them and attacking. That will also kill them. It's a bit harder than this, but also way cooler. 0:35 I think I know where it is. Near Mt. Gelmir is a bit of a piece of shit location where you can find bunch of Demi-humans, one of their queens and a Rune Bear. Not my favorite location. But I believe you can also find there a certain mage who gives you a certain most powerful spell in the game. So suffering is kind of worth it. 0:42 Grafted Scion is also here. Cause why not? Just run. It's not worth it. BTW, this is basically a big battlefield where you will see a lot of soldiers either sleeping, crying over their comrades or eating them. You will also find some VERY scary Iron Maidens that are headless, broken and GODDAMN fast and hard hitting. This also ties in with the Lord of this Land Rykard being responsible for marionettes who also behave like this when hurt and since you can find them in Academy it means that Rykard still cares for his mom. So that's sweet. And this whole battlefield is the result of battle between Rykard and Morgott. Caused by Rykard being a complete piece of shit and heretic (and may have taken part in Godwyn's death, but that's my speculation) and Morgott of all Demigods really only hates HIM. 0:47 MGS reference of course. Yeah, this is probably the longest ladder climb in the game. Why is it here? I don't know. But you can use Torrent to jump on top using those wind pillars, but it's not recommended. 0:52 Keep on going Snake. 0:54 As you can see Elden Ring fans are endlessly creative. Also it does nicely tie in with Rykard and his situation too. But that later. What you find on top of this annoyance isssss.... 0:56 Another fucking ladder. But with a Site of Grace so that's nice. Here I think you can jump on top. And I do not recommend it. Really... 1:02 Because this is what you get. It's a full grown Fallen Star Beast which is arguably the hardest Boss of it's kind in the game (it's kind being field bosses). It's goddamn ridiculous. Torrent wont save you here. You have to Git Gud. 1:07 Or you can do this. BTW. This thing came here as you may guess from the Stars. It fell here like a meteor. And while it is fully grown Fallen Star Beast. It is NOT a fully grown thing yet... You will know what I mean. All I will say that the thing in the middle of it's head has a skull poking out which I think nicely indicates of what it evolves into. 1:08 It's nice of Carbot to mail us a Fission.

0:56 it is too recommended, it's the best way to get up to the beast without it noticing. Just point Torrent to the side of the mountain when you use it and land on the ledge away from the pit. You can even bypass the beast completely if you want, it won't notice you until you actually get inside the pit where it is, unlike when you use the ladder, in which case it will most often charge and knock you off the mountaintop.

I know this comment is old, but I believe it's actually a Metal Gear Solid reference. There's one point in one of the games where there's a gameover fakeout, where it looks like you died but you're actually still playing the game. It's been referenced in a lot of other works, including Henry Stickmin. The "What a thrill" is also a Metal Gear Solid reference. In MGS3: Snake Eater, there's one part where you climb up a really tall ladder and the main theme plays for some reason. It's been referenced at least as far back as Dark Souls 1 in Ymfah's videos.

😂😂 when I realized what area this episode was in I knew there'd be an interaction with this beast one way or another. It had to either be this scenario, hitting that jump pad with torrent and basically landing on it by accident or getting to the top of that ladder and begin activating your buffs only for it to charge and knock you back down before you can even get going. Climbing those long ass ladders over and over again got old after a while, so I ran past this guy until I finished the castle lol. I've never seen a parody consistently nail it's target like this one. Idk if it even has an official name or not so I've just been calling it Fail-den Ring.
