However I think it might be a pretty big one, like think Blood & Wine from Witcher 3 so that is the most likely reason they take so long. I like they take their time to do it properly, even if it does tests ones patience

Here you can find Varre who you meet at the start of the game once you get out into Limgrave. 0:10 He gives you a quest. Invade 3 people. You don't need to kill them. Invading is enough. Recently I think it also works in Offline mode so all of you console users who don't fall for paid online scams you are good to go as well. 0:17 Being courteous is welcome in invasions. 0:21 Some people though do not take it well. 0:25 Aaaand sometimes you get this shit. You see the catch with invasions is that you can only invade people that used an item to allow it or those who play with someone else already. Guess which ones you are going to meet the most. And how it can be exploited. You can see it right here. Often times you will meet assholes that just wait for invaders to gank on them. This system is garbage if you ask me. It makes invasions absolutely infuriating and not worth anyone's time. It's terrible and not fun at all. Also there is a chance you may also meet a host that allows for invasions, but also hides in a place you cannot get to and he jumped there before on Torrent. Those people I think were beaten as kids (or should have been to teach them your actions has consequences) or something because how can you explain this shit behavior? 0:28 Once you are done with 3 invasions your next thing to do is getting blood of a maiden. You can get it by getting past what I like to call Sauron Tower in Liurnia that gives you Frenzy until you kill unmoving weirdos at the top of it. It's a maiden of a character called Vyke. A knight who pledged himself to Frenzied Flame to save his maiden, but ultimately failed. He had a possible dragon waifu and he chose a damn normal human and even fucked that up. Don't be Vyke. 0:30 This is a reward you get for it. An item that when used allows you to teleport to a location called Moghwyn's Palace, the place where Mogh Lord of Blood resides. We will speak more of him and what Moghwyn means later on and trust me... it's a lot to swallow. And I do mean A LOT. 0:32 Do not press because Varre kindly asks you not to use it. But he is most likely the guy who killed the maiden you find as you wake up at the very start of the game so who cares what he thinks? 0:34 Welcome to Moghwyn Palace. An underground area beneath Caelid. A detail that will be more important later on with the lore. 0:37 Here you will find guys like those. Second Generation Albunarics or Frog People. But they are red and mean. Also some of them play on large trumpets like this asshole. Why an asshole? 0:44 They summon an ARMY of those giant skeletons that can and will kill you a lot of times if you try to fight those guys here. Run. On Roach. FAST. 0:52 BUT there is a reward for coming here early. If you get to a certain Site of Grace at the actual start of this area where you are supposed to get to from Mountains portal you get one of the absolute best farming locations for Runes. They are A LOT of those bloody Albunarics that just sit around doing jack shit and you can kill them and get the runes which there are A LOT. But if you ask me, wait with it until you have good enough weapon to kill them quickly. Those frogs pack a punch. 0:55 And they turn into spiky Hedgehogs whenever they start to flip like this and they are FAST. Also cause bleed. Like everything in this area. Be very careful. 1:03 Also they can explode and shoot out their spikes. Be very, VERY careful. 1:08 Those guys look alright right? 1:13 Wrong. Avoid. 1:19 He really doesn't deserve this, but it's still funny. 1:22 Avoid. Avoid! AVOID!!! FUCK BLOOD BIRDS!!! Those are THE WORST enemies you can find. Well... one of the worst. NEVER engage fairly with them. Shoot from a distance. Do cheap tactics. They do not deserve fair play. Fuck those birds. They will fuck your shit up! Avoid at all cost. But you can shoot one from the farming place I told you of before and there is a chance it will run towards a nearby cliff and get you some nice runes. 1:35 You also get lots of Varres here as invaders. Kill a few of them and you will get some nice items. Like the suit and their weapon. 1:38 Which is obviously a bouquet of bloody roses. 1:48 Moral of the story? You will die a lot here if you are trying to kill everything here. 1:52 Of course bloody feces is also here. Both as an item AND an enemy. Because why not? 1:56 And one merchant is here as well and I could swear he was doing something to summon some enemies, but no. He is just here. Why? Don't ask me. These guys are weird. 2:08 Hey. Remember Sanguine Noble miniboss? Well here he is...As a respawning enemy. You're welcome. 2:11 This is a Rune Arc. An item that once used activates power of your chosen rune that you can place on yourself after beating some of the main bosses like Godrick or Morgott, it's sort of like Embered State for instance from Dark Souls 3. Honestly I don't know what that knowledge gives because I found this to be not that useful. Maybe it's the lack of mechanics behind it or how rare they can be, but honestly you can do just fine without ever popping one and no one will blame you for forgetting they are a thing. They are that unimportant in this game. Basically Melina as an item. 2:13 Also they stop working after you die so keep it for bosses. 2:14 Right before elevator to the boss you get a literal army of enemies that you can run passed to get to said elevator. And you should do so. There is a site of grace I believe. Or there is one right next to the elevator. 2:19 So close and yet so far. But trust me. REAL fun begins now. Both in difficulty AND lore. You will be a changed person after this.
