Jack was just tired of being feared, tired of scaring.. he wanted to be loved for once, to make someone happy... blind of what, or better, who was in front of him he thought stealing Christmas was the answer because in Christmastown everyone was loved and happy, but you cannot make joyfull presents in a place like halloweentown where everything is set up to be scary so he failed in his attempt and was angry at the people for not seeing his good intentions until he realized that you cannot change who you truly are and that trying to be someone you're not is never the answer. He was already loved for what he did best, giving people the best scares on Halloween and in the end he got what he wanted... he accepted his true self and the love of Sally. ❤ Nice Theory, NbC is one of my favorite disney movies ❤

I feel that jack could still do Christmas in his own twisted way as the pumpkin king. Instead of spreading joy during Christmas, he could do a sick, and twisted horrified version of Christmas during Halloween. Using presents as a box of unknowing horror and jump scares. This way, he could do both Christmas and Halloween. Instead of changing the focus from Halloween to Christmas, you bring Christmas to Halloween.

Here's my take on it: They are life long friends (as sung in the song in the finally), Sally loves him because they have so much in common with eachother, they are halloween creatures that have no place elsewhere, however they feel broken, not part of the crowd and not understood. Jack does not love (or does not realize that he does) Sally because he can only focus on his own misery. There is a quote which I heard first from a personal acquaintance that goes like this "One can not truly love another, without loving themselves first", which is wisdom I truly believe and which applies quite well to this situation. In the end of the film, Jack has finally made peace with himself, allowing him to open his eyes to what's around him and realized what Sally has done for him and what she meant to him.

I had always thought that it was mostly the Halloween townsfolk's fault that it went so horribly wrong. All they know is how to scare, and during the town meeting they barely even tried to understand what Jack was telling them, though the fact that he ended up deciding to just "give them what they want" didn't help at all. But the reason he went crazy trying to find the meaning of Christmas was to find a way to explain it to them so they could understand.

i always loved nightmare before christmas the songs, the characters, everything drew me in and i watch it every halloween and christmas. i guess my favorite things about halloween are the spooky legends that come with the holiday,. the headless horseman, witches, zombies, my personal favorite werewolves. then dressing up as something you are not it is so much fun even as i get older i still wear a mask on halloween just for fun, and lastly watching scary movies and eating candy. the three videos i would love for you to do are why do lock, shock, and barrel listen to oogie boogie and how did jack become the pumpkin king, and lastly at the very end of the movie did sally and jack get married? keep up the good work

DRAGON GAMER GIRL Ok, so around when humans invented electricity, a cute little dog named Zero licked an outlet. That killed poor Zero. His owners made a grave for him, but Zero was not ready to go. This moved Zero’s grave into Halloween town and allowed Zero to be a ghost. Now here’s how I think they met. During the time of Jack’s depression, Jack stumbles upon a grave he hasn’t seen yet. Suddenly a ghost perks up out of the grave. Jack has not seen a ghost dog and was curious. Zero kept following Jack around. Jack decided to see what Zero wanted. Zero really just wanted to adopted by someone and be loved, being that his owners where still alive and he couldn’t visit them. Jack did adopt Zero and kept his name. They became best friends in death. 💕

I never watched that movie, so my head cannon was because Aladdin wished to be a prince. Genie made a circumstance in which he was a "prince" by making his father the king of thieves. I don't remember Genie ever telling him what country he was the prince of or even if he had any subjects to rule over and be a traditional prince. I just always wondered, was the clothes literally all he changed when he said "a bonafide prince", it takes more than pretty clothes to make a "bonafide" prince, so.... What else did he change? It seems unlikely that a whole country would appear just to make him a fake prince for a couple days. A prince of thieves on the other hand... There need be no land or even subjects to rule over, just the fact that you are second to the best at stealing and thievery is required to be the "prince of thieves" even moreso that the king of thieves is your literal father.

I have a few questions. First why does no one mention Donald Duck being in the Navy at all and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or DuckTales? But yes he was searching for happiness but at the end he was happy and ended up excepting who he was when he said in the graveyard “that’s right I am the pumpkin king” and zero is so happy that jack realized who he really is inside he does a flip.

I think it gave him a small piece of his old memory of when he was alive. Tim Burton have confirmed that jack was black and alive once and my theory is that jack had a vison of the passage to halloween town after hearing about three kids going missing on the night of Halloween and went to save them. I think it's also when he first meets oogie boogie. Oogie is surprised by jack but not just for finding the human world passage but because his only 15 years old. jack gets away from oogie only to be caught by the kids who have turned into monsters and is broght back to oogie. Oogie explained that thoes who have visons of the holiday door are to be the new leader and are bonded to that world shocked by this jack kicks a hole in oogie. in raged by that oogie releases his bugs all over jack stripping him of his human body trapping his heart and soul in a small box. Out of desperation gaps one of the bugs and kills it and gets away to the pumpkin patch but the bug jack killed had his and oogie's memories. for oogie just that night jack came but for jack the memories of his whole life was now gone and the only thing left is the first part of this name.Maybe the memories of Christmas with his family was why he was obsessed because he felt like he celebrated it once long ago. but that's just my theory.

My fav part of Halloween has always been putting on a costume. There were many times when my mom and me would make my costume. And for Christmas at my youth group when I was a teen, there was a Christmas costume contest and I would always dress up as Cindy Lou who and win first prize. My mom would always make my hair the exact same style as Cindy’s. My mom would braid my hair and put wires inside them and shape my hair.

I was just watching insidious the last key and I realized something. Towards the end of the movie, when Elise was heading back to her body, she opened a red door which showed up Dalton. She left the door open when she walked away. Could that have been the cause of his haunting even though he could travel in his sleep?
