My ex confuses the hell out of me. We have a son together and get on really well. She's currently seeing an old ex who is obviously a rebound but he's spending lots of money on her etc. She can be really distant when texting but in person and on the phone we talk like normal and still joke around. When i visit she doesn't mind if i stay a bit longer and we visit places as a family. To confuse matters more we're going on a little holiday as a family in a week. We both came up with the idea. I don't know if this holiday is one big test. She makes me feel happy when we're in person, but the whole cold distant, vague texting thing is hurting my brain!

No!!! I missed the livestream!!! 😭 The hot & cold behaviour has been brutal, continuously inviting me round, having a fantastic time, then tells me she never thinks of me, and has no feelings romantically and loves me like a family, then sends sexy selfies to me and flirts, then goes into NC. It's all over the place and confusing! 😔 She admitted she vilified me because it was "easier to leave an a-hole than who I've become", and would've never left who I've become! I was still an emotional wreck at this stage, even when she said she wouldn't have left, and since I got a new positive mentality and outlook, and mental strength, she was responding well, then I had a panic attack that reminded her of my worst behaviour, and has now gone into NC. I genuinely believe she was teetering between Riding The Dragon and Crisis Point, saying we COULD get back together, then the next, "how do you know you still love who I've become?" So yeah, EXTREMELY confusing. Sorry, I'm rambling, take care 💩 I genuinely hope you are well Clay, and whoever is reading this 😊

Hey, I noticed you weren't there today :) Anyway, sounds like you would really benefit from walking back the pressure and expectation that you're putting on yourself and the situation. Just slow down and be more connection focused. Respond to her hot/cold behavior with the curious stance and I think you'll do a lot better. Hope this helps.

What if your ex is with a new person during all this? We talk everyday and she’s Been saying more “warm” things like I love you, but then unsending it, then I miss you etc. we’ve had a same team convo which has helped us make progress. But I can’t say the whole “let’s agree your not leading me on etc and gob with it” to decrease the pressure because we’re only “friends”. So I couldn’t say that. She doesn’t feel that she even has feelings for me apparently.

Hi Clay, definitely riding the dragon ATM. However I got upset with her last week and set us back after it was apparent she had been confiding in another guy about us. Since then I suggested we have the tough talks @ councilling and we start dating and only good stuff then. She agreed however will only call to talk to kids ( we currently in iso ) and can't hang up on me quick enough. Try 2 push for contact or hang back?

This isn’t fair though clay. My ex and I have a baby together, but I’m tired of the back and forth. Every few weeks he changes his mind and tells me he’s going to leave the rebound he ended up marrying 2 months after we broke up while I was pregnant. He came to me last week and told me he left her. We spent the night together and the next day the wife showed up. His demeanor changed and He told me to my face he actually wanted to be with his wife. He’s been dragging me along like this for months. I’m tired emotionally and mentally. I want to be with him but I don’t know what to do anymore. Help me please. I’m a single mom and I don’t know what to do.
