Why is my iPad dimming?

Thank you so much. Sorted. This suddenly started happening yesterday after downloading the iOS 18 update. I thought all the other suggestions were really a little crazy but this sounds very plausible and indeed it worked! 💥

That was my problem. Hopefully this resolved it. I didnt have the problem with last gen iPad Pro, but for some reason I did with this one.

Updated to iPad OS 18 and the Attention Aware feature seems to be malfunctioning with me sitting in front of it (also using as a second screen for productivity). I didn't really care about it to begin with, but it seemed to be working properly before. Off it goes!

My IPad Air 11” M2 doesn’t have Face ID and also does this.

I think it’s using the regular FaceTime front facing camera, not the faceID camera. Do you have the attention awareness option in the settings?

Hi ! Thanks for an excellent video. I also have an IPad Air 11 and I can’t for my life find any attention aware setting in neither of the menus you mention. Can it be since this iPad lacks face recognition that menu doesn’t exist ?
