I used these lights for 13 months now. The best part is the case and the fact you can get a massive sony NPF batteries to make it portable set up. the biggest downside is adjusting the angle with the barn doors on which are pretty hard to remove without tools which don't come included. Big flaw while working in the field with these lights in my opinion but the portability and brightness makes up for it forsure

I find that turning the lights upside down allows me to get the angle to beam downwards with the barn door hitting the mount and it’s not an issue since I run these with the app anyway. I usually run them on NPF 900 batteries so I get a looooooooong usage out of them per charge - excellent lights

You know, I made a quick comparison and bought the 3 light set (using your link 😉). What's interesting is that these are not on GVM's website. Are they very new? My studio flashes can go very low, so I hope these will complement them well.

They might be! That’s probably why they sent them to me haha. They have similar panels so I’m not too sure what the differences are other than price. I’ve been loving mine and the slave and master feature is super convenient and wish all my other lights had it haha

how many batteries do you need for all 3 lights? did it come with any batteries?

They each require 2! And unfortunately they don’t come with lights but you can find them for cheap on Amazon (I linked the ones I use)

GVM used to be complete junk! I have an older set of their LED's and a slider - not very impressed. But I just got these new 680's based on reviews, and they have definitely stepped things up. A whole different experience compared to their older stuff.

Maybe showing this lights in action on a real photoshoot would be less boring than 12mn of spec sheet reading... i know i'm hard on that one but i'm so bored of all this gear reviews in my recommendations, where the reviewer didn't test the product irl, it's particulary true with led lights.
