Why is there "science" in Sci-Fi?

I think it's better to draw the line that separates them in aesthetics rather than some logical categorization. Tech is often interchangable with magic, but they're always different in how they're presented.

Fantasy makes you feel nostalgic about places and times you have never seen. Meanwhile, sci-fi becomes closer to us every day - you just have to live long enough.😏

I think that science plays the same role in science fiction as magic does in fantasy, but if most fantastic technology could theoretically be developed in the future, magic is not available for our civilization, so fantasy will forever remain something unattainable)
