I feel like there's enough cause to just make a rule for it instead of causing all kinds of weirdness on card text. If I were to pull out a first draft of such a rule: CR303.4c-a: "If an Aura's effect would cause an otherwise valid target to become invalid regardless of the target's original state, then the aura will consider the target as if it is unaffected by the aura for the purposes of determining validity."

on arena my friend took control of my creature who had a cartouche on him (cartouches say enchant creature YOU CONTROL) so since i still controlled the enchantment and the creature wasnt in my control anymore the ench fell off and she learned smth abt magic rules that day

One of the earliest ways I got to understand this lesson was seeing Cho-manno's Blessing. I know there are one or two cards with similar text that predate it, somewhere around Tempest, but I started collecting and playing in January 1999, so I think of Masques as my first real block I got in at the beginning of and really experienced. Mageta the Lion and Latulla, Keldon Overseer were the bane of our early games, spellshapers were cracked XD I even owned a card game magazine that had spoilers for "the upcoming new set, Nemesis" XD

I already figured that was the reason it said that. It... Seems kind of obvious. Once it turns the enchanted creature into a Food, its no longer a creature, so its no longer enchanting a creature and thus goes away. However, this video made me realize that same ruling can also be used to get rid of other Auras. This... Doesn't come up often, but there are other times this would come up, including one or two other enchantments that specifically account for this same situation. I don't think its something you should count on, don't toss in effects that change attributes like permanent type on the hopes of trying to clear all effects from your opponent's Voltron strategy, but the fact its possible is interesting.

Another example would be Spectra ward, which grants enchanted creature +2/+2 and prot. from all colors. It states that "this effect does not cause auras to be removed from the creature" so it won't remove itself as a white card. HOWEVER it only allows EXISTING auras to stick, you cannot apply any NEW auras to that creature, because you cannot target it (unless of course that aura is colorless)

You have a great point and that's definitely the main reason to include it. There are multiple ways to turn things into food now and even special food tokens. Syr Ginger comes to mind as well as Brenard making food golem tokens that are otherwise copies of your creatures. Those can be hit as a creature or a food, although this seems pretty much irrelevant. This seems like a bonus of the card

I had this problem with Giant's grasp and the storm giant land. You can turn the land into a giant creature, which you can then attach giant's grasp to, but I didnt know whether or not the enchantment remained when it went back to being just a land. I had to find out the hard way.

If that line of text wasn't there, then it would remove itself. You can use Gods Willing to remove a Pacifism from one of your creatures. Part of protection is that it can't be enchanted (or equipped) by anything it's protected from.

Appreciate the informational videos as always. Small critique that most people probably don't even care about: Hearing all the wet noises of your mouth in the mic can be incredibly uncomfortable for some people (like if it wasn't you I would've closed the video immediately). It usually happens when you're really close to the mic. IIRC it shouldn't be super hard to filter out with an equalizer if distancing isn't an option (or maybe just some preset depending on the software you use).
