Love to Fergus and yourselves! BTW I have marine diesel, and white smoke is usually an indication of water in the combustion mixture. No reason to worry, but do ensure the expansion chamber (into which you pour your coolant) has enough room for the hot water to expand. As I say, though, no reason to worry unduly. Paul

Still chuckling over the shapely bespectacled stranger helping you start the van! 😂 Really funny - thought he was Craig from Kinging-It. Loved this one, lots of fun, great views “Stonnen!” as Ane would say. ❤ Sounds like a fuel issue as turns over strongly. Though from outside the starter sounded like it didn’t fully engage and graunched when you got him to start. Is it smoke? Blue, black or white? It looks white which would suggest water or condensation. Blue = oil, black = over fuelling? Ane’s face when she saw you go in the shower was priceless! She looked appalled. Were the Guardia Civil canyoning through the water? It’s a popular extreme sport these days. I reckon they’re following you cos Fergus is so cool! Keep up the good work! It’s inspiring to those of us currently stuck at home in the shite weather. You were blessed with the weather too, though quite a contrast compared to last years droughts. Consider Norway next - you’ll love the wild camping, the free clean lay-bys and the stonnen mountains and lakes. We use headphones to have a bit of personal space, sitting on the bench and one on the front seats (spun around).

🤣🤣🤣🤣 That's Anes twin brother Manuel 🤣🤣 imagine if it was Craig 🤣🤣 Anes Irish accent saying stonnen 🤣🤣 The issue is the glow plug relay went kaput 🧟‍♂️😑 Smokey when he starts from cold. I'd saw more white smoke. Hahaha Ane thought I was mad 🤣🤣 They weren't canoying they're were like climbing the face of the waterfall. Norway would be nice. Was it expensive?

Buy Fergus an aerosol of Eazysart, spray into the air filter intake whist turning over on the starter and he'll start at once. I'm an ex transport manager from the dark ages and we swore by that stuff in winter.

@@ShaneandAneVanLife As a whole, not a lot better than the CS- because of the turbo, it is a bit better on hills, but still- Ane was filming you were driving at about 28 km/h on the hills, with the JX the speed is not much more- maximum of 35... They are already old and slow ladies, but they have their charm in them- we love travelling in ours and I am sure you also do- no matter of the speed:) The experience, places, memories and destination are what matter!😊 Wish you all the best and can't wait for the vlogs from France:) Stay safe❤
