Tons of great info here. I’m convinced that ball pythons just go on fasts and it’s more strange to have a ball Python that doesn’t fast from time to time. I have about 1 out of 6 of balls that never refuses and that’s still not accurate in my opinion. Follow the guidelines in the video and make sure you have a well started hatchling so you know it’s previous environment and food habits.

I love ball pythons! Most are great eaters but some can be so frustrating when it comes to feeding. Like you said... it's all part of keeping ball pythons.

I've had many different snakes over the years, but ball pythons I find are much better animals on many different levels. One memorable female ball python I had about 25 ish years ago refused to eat no matter what I tried.. (I usually feed weekly) I just let her be without offering food for 2 weeks, then 3, then a month.. it was almost 6 months till she ate again, a small live mouse.. actually didn't even constrict it, just ate it live.. was quite a sight actually. I never knew these animals were prone to these issues.. thanks for the insight, and on my next I will keep that in mind. Planning on another soon, and you have some beautiful specimens

The thumbnail brought me I use clear tubs. Then they can regualate with the sunlight. Most of my balls want a hide. Some dont. Most do. My experience only

Do you ever tried to put in another prey like asf or rat when your snake almost done swallowing the mice? It will strike the other prey immediately when you put in the prey. But sometime this method doesn't works well with some ball python. But most of my picky eater BP works well with this method.

My ball python has finally just now took food after a 1 year an 5 months. Over this period of time she actually shed many times an she did not loose much weight at all u would think she was perfectly healthy. Finally tonight she has taken a mouse. I had tried everything suf furs rats mice all colors shapes sizes times of night day i tried braining live dead fresh killed changed her homes an nothing. She will only eat pregnant mice that is it period.
