Good point. Those who are against Israel conveniently forget that those land that Israel is supposedly occupied was "occupied" as the result of Muslim attacks. If Muslims haven't tried to invade Israel those lands would continue to be under Muslims control. Another important correction, Gaza is poor not because it has "no strategic values" whatever it supposed to mean but because it is under control of Hamas Jihadists (hopefully not for long). It's literally Islamic Halifax with Sharia laws as the laws of the land.

@@leandersearle5094 no because the spreading of ideas simply for the sake of spreading them is more dangerous to ignorant people in the world than only having to deal with biased information propagating. @@leandersearle5094 so you believe that a person that learned a new lesson yesterday should begin teaching, as an expert, the very next day? That wouldn't be very educated. Propagating information for the sake of propagation is damaging. Just look at the world we live in today. Educational media and Propagandized media are separated by their motivation towards the ignorant people learning the information. Education encourages critical thinking and further education while propaganda needs the opposite. Propagated media only needs to be spread because there is no consideration for whether the information helps or hurts.
@leandersearle5094 Жыл бұрын
@@Tygrus758 To answer your one question: in a sense, yes. People learning should be sharing their knowledge with other students and with those who haven't learned yet (I did catch that you said "as an expert," but that would be impossible, and I chose to extend the grace of ignoring a dishonest phrase). As for propagation, most people already filter the information given to them, through ignoring it, and it's only when *forced* to engage (such as being pressured to take a side in a conflict) that they will imbibe chaff as useful information and discard useful information as chaff. The is no limiting principal on requiring "experts" for roles. It must be opposed externally, or it will push inexorably toward any and all ad rediculum arguments that can be made. THAT is what we observe today. A responsible citizen in a republic NEEDS access to as much information as possible to make an informed decision. For many, it will never compare to any other conflict, and without empathy you will never understand it... so don't try. Many who are dissatisfied with their governments will wrongly or correctly blame American Imperialists for their woes and Israel is a big symbol of that oppression for them. Just to correct, HAMAS rule of Gaza wasn't as a consequence of the siege of Gaza (or more accurately the current harsher siege), but rather the opposite it started only in 2007, after in 2006 HAMAS won the elections and in 2007 when HAMAS completely took over executed FATAH officilas. It seems more plausible that didn't HAMAS take over because of the siege on Gaza and poverty in the area but rather because of the rise of radical islam all across the middle easy.

There is a problem with settlements argument. While from the Israeli perspective building settlements for security may have made sense pre Oslo accords because they were being threatened existentially from all sides. They didn’t make sense after that. Arab by the late 90s recognised they are not capable of wiping out the Israeli state and have to coexist. So building settlements actually made security situation worse because it increased grievance and resistance among Palestinians. This resulted in 2nd intifada and increased support for extremists like the Hamas. Even Israel recognised that. That’s why they exited Gaza and broke the settlements in there. But because they did it without negotiation, the PLO lost legitimacy and instead Hamas instead was able make the case that only violence can save the Palestinians. If the problem for Israel was that Palestinians hate them, they made the situation worse by building more settlements as now Palestinians hate them even more. Most Palestinians don’t have intrinsic hatred towards Jews. Even in mid 2000s during the 2nd intifada most supported negotiation. In your videos you make it seem like peace between Israel and its neighbours is not possible and thus they have to conquer territories to secure themself. But even Israel knows that is not true. You pointed out how the Sinai desert can be used to threaten Israel but you failed to mention they once conquered the territories during the Yom Kappur War. Under this videos logic keeping the territory would have been great for strategic depth and security. But they knew if they kept the territory Egypt would have grievance and try to attack them again. That’s why they negotiated and gave the territory back in return for recognition and security. Even other Arab wants to cooperate and thus the Abram’s accord went through. They did by trying to ignore the Palestinian question and settlements. But now with the hamas the Palestinian problem has come to everyone’s attention. Saudi Arabia which tried to normalise relations cannot do it until the settlements problem has been solved. Speaking about Hamas attack, even Israelis recognise settlements are a security threat to them. Netenyahu is unpopular despite being a wartime leader because he focused so much on the settlements, Hamas was able to invade southern Israel and kill and kidnap Israelis. IDF was late in responding. Even if you talk about Iran funding terror organisation, they wouldn’t have the support required, if the Palestinians didn’t have grievances against Israelis for building settlements.
@sriig Жыл бұрын
My hot take is that…if the choice between peace with the Saudis and Emiratis, or defending the illegal settlements…Washington will pressure Israel to throw the settlers overboard. And not only that. An end to the settlements might even bring the Qatari’s to the table. In which case it’s curtains for the settlements. Tel Aviv will take that deal because Washington will make them
@רבקיויזל-צ7ר Жыл бұрын
Well, quite the opposite. The Oslo accords brought Yasser Arafat from exile to rule over the Palestinians in exchange for peace. Yasser Arafat didn't hold the Oslo agreement one bit. He smuggled weapons in his car on his very arrival to the west bank. He did not mean peace, only Taki'a, which means to fool your enemy with a feigned peace agreement when you're weak only to attack him by surprise when you're strong enough. The situation for Israelis deteriorated drastically after the Oslo accords because of the terror that Arafat brought with him, not the settlements. This is just an illusion. The failure of Oslo is a stark reminder for all Israelis why they should never trust the nice words of the Arabs, ond only negitiate from a position of power.
@talknight2 Жыл бұрын
The problem with the settlements nowadays is... you're talking about evicting almost 10% of the Jewish population of the country out of their homes. Complete abandonment of the settlements could actually start a civil war. The numbers here are approaching those of the Palestinian refugees back in 1948.

The biggest problem is if territories of states are not connected and split by another state’s territory. Similar to the Armenia and Azerbaijan conflict. In the Gaza situation it’s even worse because of the tremendous high population. It’s not like it would be possible to re locate the people… in the Armenian Azerbaijani conflict it would be theoretically possible to get clear separated borders…. Not saying what Azerbaijan did is justifiable… Just wanted to point out the geographical aspects that are often factors or reasons in such wars/conflicts. I know that to the Israeli Palestinian conflict way more factors need to be considered but for a long term peace agreement between both parties and a 2 state solution Gaza being cut off to the rest of the world would lead again to another conflict sooner or later regardless of whatever Israel does now militarily.

There are mistakes in history regarding the State of Israel The Jewish people had the state of the Hebrews who, in those times in the biblical days, for those who were not Jews, called the land the land of Canaan. After that the nation of Israel was made up of 12 tribes That the two strongest tribes were Judah + Jerusalem and the surrounding area, and Israel north of it, the Kingdom of Dan = Tel Aviv and the surrounding area, etc. At that time in the Gaza area, for example, there was a non-Jewish tribe called the Philistines who had no connection to the Muslims or the Palestine. When the Romans and Greeks were an empire they ruled this area and therefore wanted to keep the Jews away from Jewish studies and connection to Judaism for loyalty to the religion and culture of the empires, the empires called this territory Palestine which continued until the Ottoman period and until the days of the British mandate that ruled Israel afterwards. At the time of the British Mandate there were Arabs in the Land of Israel and because some of the Arabs wanted to keep the Jews away from certain areas in the Land of Israel Israel and even the British fought them and some left for Arab countries, the majority of Arabs in Israel was under a million people in those times. When Jordan conquered Jerusalem, many Arabs returned to settle in Judea and Samaria in Israel When Egypt ruled Gaza, Muslims came to settle in Gaza. The State of Israel was Palestine because of the empires that changed its name Jews were called by the empires residents of Palestine including Arabs who lived there That is why there is no such thing as a Palestinian people, there is such a thing as Arab Muslim residents, some of whom were confused in Israel and are called Israeli Arabs, the Palestine of "today" is an invention for the connection of the Philistines or for the name of Israel in the past as Palestine - there is no connection even though they connect it in order to get land and occupy plots of land from Israel , the 1948 and 1967 map, these are maps that the Jews agreed with in their thinking, perhaps giving the Arabs territories and losing territories in Israel for peace - the one who started a war is the Arabs against the Jews, not the other way around, even though according to the Jewish religion and the biblical map, this land is the land of the Jews, the land of the Hebrew people, who are actually the Jews. This is the true story, it's a shame that it was the reality. Today it is Israel and Israel does not want to bring another 5 million Arabs into it Therefore, it is ready to lose territory and establish an Arab state that will be called Palestine or whatever they want. The big problem is that more than 50 percent of this population continues to stir up wars and terrorism and build resistance and do not want peace, therefore Israel has the right to defend itself and not support the establishment of a contiguous state that will be built on terrorist infrastructures, and therefore Israel wants security control. The Arabs of Israel, for example, are proud of their state, even though in their hearts they would like an Arab state, but they know and respect the Jews and know that this is their land and the state of the Jewish people. By the way, this part of Jordan was also the kingdom of one of the 12 tribes of Israel And the Jews do not demand this land from Jordan for peace Because what is important to the Jewish people above all is the city of Jerusalem. It's a shame that history is being distorted And in practice today, in order to establish the state of Palestine, it is necessary to exchange territories so that Israel does not lose 40 percent of its lands, and that any Arab leader who rules Palestine will make sure that terrorist organizations do not rule - the problem is that it is not guaranteed, and therefore peace is very far away even when trying to maintain peace. incidentally The Gaza strip was smaller than in the past, the village of Gaza, Khan Yunis, these are the main villages and cities in the area, Rafah belonged to Egypt. When we gave them a contiguous area called the Gaza Strip, we saw what happened? Most of the residents of Gaza chose resistance and Hamas, only half of them do not want them. A complex story, so in wars will you make peace? A problematic issue. Therefore, it requires the intervention of all countries in the world to solve this issue once and for all, and there are many options for both the Jews to be satisfied and the Arabs of the villages (the Palestinians in the new Jordan) And it's a shame that the Arabs who call themselves Palestinians want the entire territory of the State of Israel and declare war on the Jews. Is this a religious war?

The Philistines (Hebrew: פְּלִשְׁתִּים, romanized: Pəlīštīm; Koine Greek (LXX): Φυλιστιείμ, romanized: Phulistieím) were an ancient people who lived on the south coast of Canaan during the Iron Age. There were five cities (the Pentapolis) of the Philistine confederacy (Gaza, Ashkelon [Ascalon], Ashdod, Gath, and Ekron) in the Land of the Philistines. Israel will destroy it self with in . They can not go for one state solution without a masscre of 6 miljon people or stablishing an undemocratic faschist Apartheid state like south Africa . Or on the other hand facing war with its neighbour as allways .What a bad place to live . Well its says in the Torat its self ,the jews will be spell and punished for their ungodly actions. Is it not what is going on today or what is you opinion

“From the river to the sea” is not a fundamentalist slogan, it’s a slogan used by any supporter of a one-state solution. That includes people that support a single democratic state, and always has. The fact that Hamas and others have appropriated it when they were against a two state solution does not change that.

I wouldn't say this is an objective analysis of the situation but more like a justification for all the out of law, immoral deeds of isreal by portraying it as this victim nation just trying to survive in this 'hostile for no reason' neighborhood. I advice you look at other more unbiased balanced sources, if you don't at least listen to both sides and make your own conclusions.

Arabs invaded Israel in 1948 and occupied the territories that the UN gave to the palestines. Never the Arabs give the palestines anything. Only Israel gave them anything ever. Gaza and big parts of Jude'a and Samaria. Israel is not apartheid, and Israel is not "illegal" whatever it suppose to mean. 21% of Israelis today are Arabs, most of them are Muslims.

So what? If croatia is strategically important for us italians we should occupy it? Even if it is a sovereign state? Even better: was Russia justified in occupying crimea (which is of vital importance to the Russian Federation) and parts of Ukraine because of the threat of NATO? Was all the talking about the Ukraine war nothing but propaganda? Probably it was, and the same could be said about this conflict where we are becoming so good at transforming the aggressor in the victim
