@aosggame

@@scottg4615 People tend to buy SUVs for reasons they don't really need them to be. Lots of people are convinced of the benefits though. Typical ones: storage. Easier, yes, but how often are you loading up a sedan can't load up? Ease of loading? Easier than a sedan, but it's as easy as a 5-door. Better visibility because you sit higher up? True if everyone else drives a sedan so you can see above them, but with more people driving an SUV, this becomes less relevant. Higher height = better traction in snow? Not accurate. They mean to say they won't get stuck in deep snow, which is true and relevant if you live outside of the city. City folks tend tio have roads already plowed. Some generalization that it's safer because the car is bigger? Well, there's a whole study about how sedans colliding into sedans is a-okay, because the bumpers actually collide with each other since they siit roughly at the same hieght (by design). SUVs being taller now are more likely to cause greater injury to sedans because the bumpers don't line up anymore. So the SUV driver is more likely to cause harm to others out of the fear of sustaining injuries themselves. They're now part of the problem when you think about it. Again with the same point about sitting higher up to gain an advantage over sedans, SUVs being the same height as each other just makes you equally as safe colliding with another SUV as a sedan hitting a sedan. Not a whole lot safer aside from reducing the chance of injury being hit by a sedan. There's a whole video on this by "Not Just Bikes". I'd encourage you to watch take a watch if you are more interested in discussing over than arguing on the internet. TL;DR: Most people who buy an SUV for the usual reasons honestly can get by with a 5-door.

In Japan, the cars are RHD, so the battery would be on the passenger side there I reckon. We have to CX30 and the interior is a big selling point. The infotainment system is the same and is pretty much spot on.

I got a Mazda recently, after only owning German vehicles.. the car feels the same as what im used to, to be quite honest. It’s solid, uses quality materials, picks up and has a higher top speed than other vehicles, and is agile and stable despite it being an SUV. Even though I don’t like Asian vehicles, Mazda is manufactured in Japan and has an amazing heritage and racing pedigree to its name. Mazda also has an excellent brand portfolio and image. I’m happy to own one..
@christianbryant5617
@christianbryant5617 4 ай бұрын
I do have to say though.. Mazda makes great vehicles that are capable. But, you’re not just buying a whatever car. Don’t assume just because it’s Japanese, it’s gonna work the same. Mazda is different.. premium gas is essentially what makes Mazda a Mazda. It’s imperative that you only service and maintain your Mazda at an actual Mazda dealer. You might be upset at the prices, but your wallet will thank you later on. Mazda uses premium grade synthetic oil, and there is a lot of complicated technology under the hood that needs proper maintenance. Treat your Mazda the way it’s supposed to be treated and it will be the perfect car. Treat it like a Camry, and you’ll soon realize you bought the wrong car.
@HiPlains1

@@christianbryant5617 The CX 90 is over engineered. Just about any work done under the hood requires pulling the pin and dissembling the entire front end and pulling the motor. The timing chain behind the engine is the worst design possible. Probably cost over 5K to replace it if not more. So yeah, you better do all the maintenance on time and treat it like a baby.

The bottom of this car is beautifully detailed. Sarah, thanks for all the shots of it, and emphasizing the use of different metals for suspension components. Living on the east coast at 38 degrees latitude where only until 5 years ago we experienced annual winter season snowfall, it's likely all those shields, protect underbody bolts susceptible to rusting if driven anywhere where deep snowfalls are present and salt is used to clear and regulate roadway.

I had the same experience at 4:18 on my car when I did some mods and had to open up the front grille. The Radiator and condenser stack has a gap in-between and it was filled with tons of dead leaves, baseball card and a cigarette butt. As a result, I bought some 6mm diamond shape screen and installed it on the grille. Today's car manufacturer uses large size opening on grille because the turbo charged engine needs to stay fuel efficient even at the worst weather condition. But that defeats the purpose of the grille with such large openings.

Nice overview. Some mixed feelings about this car. Watched a lot of video...SavageGeese was properly in depth and tracked with forum chatter on the CX-90. Too big to be small and too small to be big. A lot of continuing OEM updates to drivetrain parameters to smooth things out (lots of clutches, electrics, stop/start, torque vectoring and what nots maybe not coordinating perfectly yet). Consensus is that this thing really needed adaptive dampers to both handle well, which it does in class leading fashion, and to achieve squishy family hauler mode too. I have a '24 CX-5 Turbo in my driveway cuz I needed a commuter. The CX-5 is mature and near perfect. I think the CX-90 will get there.
@nostyle126

Adaptive dampers would move the price point but the ride is pretty stiff on 21" wheels. The 19s are better. I read somewhere that the suspension joints need time to break in and then the ride softens. I dunno.

As soon as you had mentioned earlier in the introduction that it was a hybrid, I assumed fantastic off the starting line acceleration because the electrical assist included a cheater spin up of the turbo accompanied by extra energy dump assist to the 4 corners forr crisp acceleration. It’s a Mazda, so handling is going to be a priority. The infotainment system will suck, but that’s not why you buy from Brand M. If it’s anything like my current two street cars, my race car, and previous Mazda street cars, it’s going to be stone reliable as well. I’m fairly brand agnostic (in fact, I work for a competitor) but whenever I’m trying to answer the “What car do I need to do what job” question, the answer seems to be Mazda.

In Europe, we get the 3.3L inline 6 diesel with 254 hp and 550nm of torque that can tow 2.5T, which is phenomenal. Super torquy, very powerful, and a does about 40mpg.

On CX60 but the CX90? I'd like a suitable alternative to mercedes m class but the CX60 is a bit too small. I'm talking UK here.

won't tell you how many cubic feet of cargo a vehicle will hold because we can look it up on Google...but will tell you the engine family, bore and stroke measurements of that engine, brake rotor size in millimeters and metric thickness measurements of the the anti-roll bars. Great channel.
