His 3pt is getting better and his overall iq is underrated imo, telling ya he’s a kawhi in the making. He’s had a few 30pt games already last season alongside vic so idk, you can’t judge them off one season when they’re so young when pop was clearly tanking. I expect Jeremy to have a great season next year when he’s at his position all year.

@@2ClutchCee I hear you. But to stand up to the teams that you're going to have to go through to win a championship, you're going to have to get taller in the front court. At his height he can help win games, but they're not going to beat the Minnesots Denvers or Bostons of the world. Case in point: as dynamic as Dallas backcourt is, they're going to get killed on the boards- And in turn killed in this series. Size is quickly coming back into the league.

Jeremy Sochan is massively underrated, I see flashes of a young Rodman or a young Draymond in him. He will continue to flourish, all the Spurs need is a good PG that can drive the team and that will be enough to drive to the team to the conference finals.

Ive never seen a more polarizing 9th overall pick thats just a sophomore. Imo he’s got star potential. He’s got more 30 point games than Jabari Smith and has held Luka the best offensive player in the world to a career high in misses. Idc if he’s inconsistent all 20-21 year olds are

I think all the hate was because Sochan was at PG for a few months to start Wemby's career and everyone acted like its was so easy to just give Wemby the ball, even when Wemby didn't know how to get position or how to hold position in the paint and that the team plays a team style anyhow. I doubt Spurs fans (from before Wemby joined) have anything but love for Sochan. He overwhelmingly exceeded expectations. Jarace Wallace was picked 8th in 2023 and barely played his rookie year. Johnny Davis, who barely is a basketball player, was picked one selection after Sochan in 2022. People have to relax when you draft a guy who you knew was a long term project

A lot of fans can't evaluate a player outside of immediate offensive impact. Sochan has already flashed high level value on both sides, and he's only 20 years old. Imagine what he's going to look like at age 25-26. He's the ultimate "star in his role" starter in the making.

Where would you start him? He can't play point or the 2. Vasell is the 3. They're going to pair somebody at least 6'10 with Wemby to stop the defensive flood. No room.

He hasnt shown any flash of something. He is a poor scorer on all 3 levels. Poor playmaker; undersized to be the main pf, too slow to become a wing. He is a decent on-ball defender that’s literally it. He is a poor help defender and doesnt even get steals or blocks. Doesnt matter if he’s 20. He’s on his 2nd year in the league and barely shown any improvements on his game. Most promising players already show some signs by then. Sochan is just not that guy.

He should play like Aaron Gordon in Nuggets good comparison. He is natural 4, he play well under the basket. He has very good standing jump, he is dynamic and athletic from that reason he has very good rebounds too, looks like rodman sometimes on rebounds. On defense guard the best player of course, except centers they too big for him like Jokic Embiid etc.

The Spurs now have a solid defensive trio in Wemby, Sochan and Castle. A quadro if Vassell decides to reach his defensive potential. Once those 3 reach their primes, the Spurs will win chips. Defense will carry them to the top.

spurs offense is so stagnant when he is on the court, when he is out for the end of the season, the team offense with wemby and Mamukelashvili on the front court seems much better, and they win more games. Sochan's advance stats are bpm-3.4, epm-1.8. He really need to improve a lot to stay in NBA, and I hope so, cause he is not helping their team in winning right now.

If the new triplets don't get greedy and are willing to take hometown discounts on contract extensions/renewals, and PATFO is able to keep them surrounded by excellent role players, then the Spurs could win more than the 5 titles Timmy did. Pray for good health for those three. And if the Spurs get Markkanen, those titles could start in VW's Year 2 like it did with Timmy.

I don't know. On a competing team sochan would be nothing more than the 8th or 9th man. When he got injured the spurs offense was visibly better, the spacing was excellent. And that's with players like Mamu and Graham in the game. Victor has room to work with Sochan off the floor. I don't know how he fits in future

The Sochan exp at PG was to tank. Of course, Pop cannot say that and probably did not tell anyone in order to keep it a secret to himself. I don't see Sochan being a Kawhi Leonard offensively. But he can be a better Bruce Bowen and much better scorer than Rodman. If the Spurs draft Ron Holland with the 8th pick, then the Spurs have a better defensive juggernaut than the Wolves did this year, but better offense than the Wolves.
