#John2 ....I also parallel this miracle to when God used Moses to turn water to "blood" in the #bookofExodus

And the parallel is made completely concrete in "this is my blood" reference to wine, it seems.

Wrong idea you got here because Abraham was given wine 🍷 and bread 🥖 by melkezeked so wine can’t be like you said linked with dyonisys it has older root in the Bible! The times of Abraham were much older then dyonisys.

Correct, but Dionysus was a god inherited by the Greeks from the Etruscans, and then the Egyptians. Who absolutely predate Abraham.

This video completely misses the point of Jesus' first miracle. It was never about encouraging drunkenness. Among other things, it demonstrates the love he had for his mother Mary, and her influence over him. When Mary tells him the wine has run out, he tells her, rather abruptly, “Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come.” She ignores him and instructs the steward to do as he tells him. Next thing you know, there's plenty of wine. That's one of the reasons why we pray to her--If Jesus would do something as seemingly frivolous as turning water into wine simply because his mother (in essence) asked him, imagine if she asks him to help us when we're in real trouble? As for why this reading isn't in the other gospels, remember that she went and lived with John after Jesus' death and that of the four gospel writers, John is the only apostle who actually wrote a gospel attributed to him. The actual authors of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, may not even have been aware of the story, because they weren't at the wedding. (That certainly applies to Luke and Mark, who weren't apostles, and most scholars agree that the apostle Matthew didn't actually write his eponymous gospel). Another reason Jesus may have performed the miracle was because a host running out of wine at a celebration would have been humiliating. Considering the importance of the day (a wedding), Jesus was almost certainly sympathetic to that. None of this had anything to do with Dionysus.

Praying to Mary is idolatry. She is a mere human. Jesus is God in the flesh. She sinned and needed forgiveness just like the rest of us. He didn’t do it because she asked Him to. Jesus said no one gets to the Father but by me(Jesus), therefore praying to his mother or any other of the saints is idolatry

@@emeraldsky7072 Jesus as a Jew honored the ten commandments, one of which is honor thy father and mother. What better way to honor one's mother but for other people to honor her by seeking her intercession. And if God's mother intercedes on your behalf, well, I would think that's pretty important. You're the same kind of people who love to say, such and such isn't in the bible. Well, nowhere in the bible does it say she ever sinned. In fact, that's the point of the immaculate conception. Praying for anyone to intercede on your behalf isn't idolatry. We ask people all the time to pray for us. Is that idolatry too? Neither Mary nor the Saints have any power, beyond the ability to make requests on our behalf.

@@mikeblast7507 ”And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.“ Luke 11:27-28 KJV This clearly states that a follower of Christ is more blessed than the mother of Christ. ”as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:“ Romans 3:10 KJV This one clearly tells us that no human being is righteous, not even Mary. ”While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.“ Matthew 12:46-50 KJV These make it clear that she isn’t of any significance to pray to. Mary isn’t the source of Jesus’ divinity or older than God. Elevating her to such high esteem is idolatry. No amount of Hail Mary’s can save you. Only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ our Messiah. Not a priest or Jesus’ mom or any other of the saints.
