Agree Dan...when you get $3 mil in endorsements annually...that says alot about his marketability.

absolutely agree. he thinks he can match ohtani when he doesnt draw the same audience. smh. someone will pay him a truckload but they shouldnt.

Sota is a good hitter, poor fielder, can make a difference but doesn't have the market value like ohtani or judge.personally 10yrs at40 is true value but he will get atleast 550mill

Sometimes price is not equal to skill ( or value ), It depends on need. If Mets think they need Soto .. and is willing to pay 700 million, that does not mean Soto brings more value to the team than Ohtani.. it is just Mets has the need for Soto and maybe the next best available player is not good enough. So they become willing to pay premium ..

They don't need him. They need pitching. Soto is a poor defender and a great hitter. The Mets or other teams might be desperate to get him. Desperation is not a need.

I totally agree with Dan. Aaron Judge is on a $40 million AAV, Bryce Harper on a $26 million - Juan Soto getting anything above a $45 million AAV across ten years seems like an overpay to me; especially given the current RSN shitshow. But then again, what do I know? And there's also Scott Boras.

He's not better than judge or ohtani. Not on the same level.

Prime Trout, Mookie and Harper were better than Soto too.
