They often "talk' about "having a conversation" about "saying" what the issues are, but they never do the actions to fix the issues. I think Vaush misread her response a bit. She was going less for girlboss, more for relating in their shared blackness (it's hard for me to describe as a black woman, ngl). Which is why Charlemagne Tha God responded the way he did, because she listed ways that she was focusing on issues that affect the black community disproportionately. But I think Vaush got the gist of the critique, she didn't want to touch on how Biden is demonstrating poor leadership for Democrats.

It should be neither, people have always been proud of not knowing the latest "youth celebrities." I think the logic is that if they're older it shows they've "moved on from such childish things" and if they're still in the target demographic then they just get hipster points. On the flip side, people are also proud of knowing the same figures for the opposite reasons since it shows they are still invested in and aware of whatever happens to be cool in the present. All of these stances are equally stupid, but none of them should be surprising. At least be accurate in critiquing her response. It's not a policy wish list, dashed by BBB's failure (thus far) to thrive. Just 1 fully dependent on BBB. 1) Child tax credit - passed months ago & already implemented, expiring & BBB would have extended. 2) DOJ - doesn't need Sen. Manchin's approval to proceed with these investigations & reforms, already in progress. 3) Lead in pipes/paint - hard infrastructure bill passed months ago. Inadequate? Perhaps. Dependent on BBB? Hardly. 4) Public transportation - hard infrastructure, same as 3) above. 5) Lowering Rx prices - first in the list that has yet to be passed, would be addressed in BBB. 6) Black maternal mortality, prioritized as an issue - certainly has a spotlight in public health circles & included in the VP's shortlist here, largely dependent on administrative focus, rather than legislative. Not sure if specifically addressed in BBB, but BBB's Medicaid expansion into holdout states like mine would broadly impact this issue.
