Probably not until they have a competitive V4 engine. The inline 4 doesn't seem to cut it anymore on the stop-turn-accelerate GP circuits.
@PieterJongenburgerАй бұрын
@@MisterShifterYT inline 4,s can and do produce the power, however it is more to do with the length of the crank and the loss of agility due to the physics of that. Changing direction is impeded/ reduced, due to the mass of the reciprocating components. Several manufacturers developed reverse rotation engines to counteract this in respect of wheels etc. J R and Kawasaki won 6 in a row, best ever, so the powers that be(Dorna) restricted Kawasaki by reducing their rev limit by 1000 below Ducati. Yamaha and Honda were also limited, but not as much. Considering they were all 4 cylinder 1000 cc engines, how can this be considered as feasible. Bullshit. I don’t know why all the other manufacturers have wasted their resources by staying there. One horse race by strangulation. I can’t even be bothered watching anymore.

With the new Bimota partnership, Kawasaki will be able to easily make changes and develop their bike to be more competitive, the Bimota might end up being more of a prototype bike than the ZX10RR. I just see this as a way for Kawasaki to get around WorldSBK rules, without the commitment of making the same expensive performance updates to their current bikes

There revs were taken away back in 2016 to slow them down. All they have to do is give them back there revs.

Kawasaki, like all Japanese manufacturars,as well as all the others, have to make money to survive. Why spend a lot to make a good bike just so that micky mouse dorna/fim can castrate them. They only want Ducati's on the track to dominate with Spanish and Italian riders. Ducati has a history of racing with other companies money as well as separate rules for them to have an advantage on the competition. Currently Volkswagen/ Audi owns them and pay the bills for new production lines, development etc. Wont be surprised if it is German tec as well. Ducati are riding on their backs and pretend to be this Italian masterpieces. As a company, they could not survive on their own and was always the property of somebody else, like most Italian motorcycle brands. Most Ducati fans have never owned one or even ride on one because of the high prices, running cost and unreliability. Ducati is just a name used by Volkswagen to write off a bit of tax money. Nothing wrong with it, its good business but for Ducati to pretend to be something they are clearly not is BS. Bimota,another failing Italian brand is now under Kawasaki's wing to survive. If they use it to get one up on Dorna, why not.

Isn't Bimota majority owned by Kawasaki? This looks just like a name change with better frames.
@Reaperzx67 күн бұрын
yeah Kawasaki makes really good engine tech the problem is they aren't innovating with the frame each year their bikes use the same exact frame between generations and they haven't adopted more extreme aero like bmw but bimota knows how to make a good frame and uses aero so that's where they come in
@KMRF5105 ай бұрын
Kawasaki are aloud less revs than any manufacturer 15,100 rpm
@Reaperzx67 күн бұрын
the competition was angry that kawasaki made a powerful engine that could be made to rev even higher for more power so forced it to be cut back its pretty stupid considering ducati has an 16000rpm v4 that could do 18k if it wasn't for restrictions
@yabby65505 ай бұрын
Bimota produces expensive high end products to sport bike markets. The product can be tailored more for racing than mass production. Bimota has concentrated more on frames, suspension etc. Kawasaki is an expert in engines. Both technically and market sense marriage looks good. Maybe we’ll see green Bimotas in the future 😅

how silly are you, kawasaki have shares in bimota, , and its about building a one off bike to beat the rules. and only have to make so many , 150 i think, not thousands like the zx 10, this will be a top bike and be a top spec

There are several factors against Kawasaki in WSBK. 1 The engine is based on a design/engineering that goes back to 2004. 2 The current chassis is 90%+ based on the 2011 model. 3 WSBK implemented the so called "RPM Balancing" rule to achieve competitive fairness, albeit to penalize Jonathan Rea and KRT. 4 Kawasaki is the only brand on the grid not covered by a major automotive manufacture, a source of r&d funds. If I am not mistaken Toyota owns at least 5% of Yamaha.
@PieterJongenburgerАй бұрын
@@80z1r I believe Yamaha does a lot of r&d particularly head design and development for Toyota so there are ties there.

The reality is that after winning six in a row the power that be decided to handicap Kawasaki by reducing their rev limit by 1000 rpm below Ducati. How is this even a thing. Total farce in my mind. Yamaha and Honda also have rpm restrictions below Ducati although not by the degree. That would probably equate to 20 kph with equivalent gearing so the only way to make that up is with a change of gearing and a loss of acceleration. May the best bike win. Bullshit!

Honda and Yamaha dominance in Moto Gp plus a few good years for Suzuki, now the European bikes Ducati, Aprillia and KTM. Kawasaki dominance in world superbikes, and now Ducati and BMW. Even the superbike/senior TT used to be won by Honda quite often is now a BMW class.
