The income demographic is not the same here in Europe. Generally the Ferrari buyer tend to be a more "balanced" person. I've met a lot of immature Lamborghini owners that are in debt because of their cars. Are there Ferrari owners in this situation, yes, but they seem to be fewer and further between to say the least.

I’m sure it can be hard to tell at first, but I imagine it becomes clear pretty quickly. In my case, I walked into the dealership and told them I wanted to buy. They said ok, and took the $10k deposit for my order within 2 mins. I was wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt, and they probably thought I was a tire kicker, but I suppose they’re told to take everyone seriously, just in case!

FYI, the guy asking if you were a person vs dealership may have asked because some states have reduced or even ZERO taxes (Thinking of Arizona) on cars bought from a private seller, whereas a dealer you will have to pay taxes.
