Ludens does not proc Lillia passive. The wiki says "Luden's Echo will not apply champion-specific spell effects," ie it won't proc dream dust, but will proc torment/spellvamp. In the clip he used, Lillia's e aoe hit all three people, ludens didn't proc it.

I can already answer why Lillia is garbage in soloq: because people that play her have no idea how to play jungle. If you will check the challenger win rate she's sitting at alright 50.5%. Fundamentals > Champions.

the problem with jungle is that you can't just queue up and and follow a step by step script on how to play the game, you need to constantly watch and think about what you're doing next in response to the map. But people are too stupid to play and think at the same time so without their little script they're finished

@@Lafeon09 people tend to forget there are always 3 ways a jungle game can go. 1)Both you and the jungles begin at your camps, finish your clear and then move for a gank at either bot or top. 2) you're moving in for a full clear but enemy jungles went from blue to red(vice versa) and rushed a lvl gank on a lane, possibly securing a kill. [This can be flipped for friendly jungler scenario as well] 3) you're moving in for a clear but the enemy begins to counter jungle because they obviously have strength over you in the early game. (I.e, an olaf, warwick, etc.) [Can be flipped as well] I've been told that as long as you have these 3 simple scenarios on your mind and quickly adapt to the one going on in the first few minutes, you can easily keep up with the game. However, the scenarios can easily get flipped on their head and go from one to another. Thats when people start panicking.

Another problem with Lillia at the monent is that Riot has been releasing a lot of champions in a short amount of time, which is unusual and Lillia is not a champ with an obvious identity like a Yone. People did not have a lot of time to play her, experience her and get to know her properly before new champs came and overshadowed her.

Something that is important to note: Lillia has this very weird, unreliable "gloabal" presence with her E. It can actually be used to great effect. Sure, its not reliable - but it has the opportunity cost of about 3-4 seconds and hitting that across the map E might give your laners just the edge they need - you can even follow up with an R. For runes, I found Cheap Shot and Ravenous Hunter to be extremely important for her. Both of those runes overperform SO much on her, its crazy. Taking them is a must. Between phase rush and Dark Harvest, I think its pretty... similar and more of a personal preference, really. Dark Harvest currently has a higher winrate at all levels of play, too, so dont feel pressured to take Phase Rush, its really a toss up. Dark Harvest is not just a generic dmg rune on her. It is is especially strong with her kit. Long lasting(especially with Liandries) AoE DoTs are GREAT for proccing DH. Her random global Es sometimes get your free stacks from it(and make them all the more lethal for picking up a stray kill or assist). Phase rush is good, but so is DH. In terms of jungling style, Lillia really is not that early game focused. She farms well, duels passably(she can often escape bad duels, too) and has really powerful powerspikes. Her R is an amazing ganking tool, making for a good "If R? Gank. If no R? Farm" style. Runic Echoes grants her a ton of bursting power(as with basically any AP jungler - the item feels a bit overtuned to me, tbh) and thanks to your great farming, you can reach it reliably fast. And her build... while her core is set in stone(runic, rylais, liandries), the rest is pretty flexible. Her damage works so well with these items that you can just stick two full tank items on her and still do good damage. An offensive version - like Zhonyas+Banshees - is very effective, too - your build already has a good chunk of health, so those resistances do a lot of work. Personally, I like Frozen Heart on her in some games over Zhonyas(or both). Spirit Visage is surprisingly good due to how high Ravenous Hunter healing values end up being later on. A lot of options that most people do not realize exist. And lastly, I think the reason Lillia underperforms in soloQ is due to her kit being... extremely punishing if you make mistakes. You NEED to kite well, dodge well and all that good stuff. Thats why you got a boatload of movement speed. You need to weave in and out of fights, get the perfect timing for Rs off, dodge most of the stuff thrown your way and.... doing all that, you are still not a burst mage or assassin, you do dps. And one single misstep.... and you are dead. There are a LOT of opportunities to misplay with her, moreso than on many other champs. And misplays get punished hard. That makes her defacto unreliable. On the other hand, in proplay especially(even moreso than challenger).... They wont do missteps, only very rarely. That turns her around from unreliable to very reliable, as her kit cannot be countered easily if the Lillia does everything correctly.

I've been playing her for a while now and am having tons of fun with her, as well as plenty of success (although I am in silver so anything can work). I think she's perfectly fine as a champion. She starts picking up speed as soon as her first back and just gets better from there. My only problem with her right now is that her build path is incredibly rigid, which should get better when preseason starts with the item system rework and they add back AP bruiser items. I actually really like her power farming playstyle since you can end up getting a massive level lead. When you get ahead from farming she's also a surprisingly good duelist, almost to the point that its toxic since you play like a very pissed-off Singed.

one of the best first clears for lillia is to take raptors leashless then instantly path towards the enemy raptor camp, steal it, then take their krugs. that gives level 3 and you now have the option to gank or put a second point into your Q and continue clearing your own jungle.

I’ve been using a build that replaces ryalais and I use frozen heart ( I build scepter if ahead but if even go heart) liandries will proc off the slow of frozen heart and most importantly it gives you a bunch of armor and 20% cdr and with the cdr rune and cosmic insight you’re almost at 45% it’s crazy lol and it’s really good for survivability into ad lillia is def held back in solo queue by her early game and having low armor so I find this item extremely helpful, always ban graves or kindred two adc perma invaders are just annoying as hell

You made a great point about her ultimate. She has a limited window for her team to initiate. I played Lilia and she seems like a simple champion at first. But in reality you need to be incredibly efficient as possible and need to require excellent positioning. One of the biggest things holding her back is lack of AP bruiser itemization. With something like Mordekaiser you can at least build tank. But with Lilia, not really. The only good items that are truly good on Lilia is Liandry's Tourment and Rylai's Zhonya's hourglass situationally but you shouldn't always be building it.

I've actually never tried the "standard build" people have set for Lillia. I've always built her as an AP Tank, so Runic Echoes - Liandry's/Rylai's - tank items depending on the enemy comp. I'd probably get a Zhonya's in there as well but I usually avoid getting caught by running away after a pick or two (and I always forget that I have it). I've been having a lot of success with it, and it's actually really fun, it's like playing Singed but with a huge playmaking potential in teamfights with ult.

if you want to master her you dont exactly do the pulls as he mentioned. you can start solo and hit lvl 4 as scuttle spawns. start redbuff with abusing raptors to heal, do krugs, raptors. at lvl 3 put a 2nd point into q for mana reasons. do wolfs, start blue and while fighting it, get gromp in there aswell. the first smite u use is for blue. you end gromp+ blue with 60% hp atleast, lvl 4 one smite up at 3:15 to 3:25 depending on how good you are. however to get that clear consistent you gotta be kinda good and hope to not get invaded...

The only tip I can give to anyone who wants to play lillia is to play like a vayne in clash ie go in and out and poke with your q since you can spam it and don’t wait for a perfect time to use your ult and use it to start a team dive or team disengagement since believe it or not a perfect moment to use your q barely happens in solo que, don’t be afraid of starting a fight since in late game you’re tanky and fast af spam your E in the river or throw in any lane when you B or respawn since a little damage goes all the way and it would create a little bit of discord when there’s a fight happening. Lillia’s prime is in the mid game and if you’re gonna gank ask your team to engage first and the chance of them surviving is very high since once the you join them, it feels like the enemies are given perma ignite when you are there. Overall Illia is fun to play since poking the enemies to death with your q and the fact that they can’t chase you with your move speed that could rival master yi’s movespeed while ulting is a tilting experience for the enemy side.

That's why I main her mid lane in Solo Queue and oh dear god she is really lilting to play against. I tried her jungle for my recent games, and yes communication is really key to win even though I can clear faster and gank faster than my enemy jungler.

I have been doing great with her in the soloq, but I play different than most people, with dark harvest, and getting cdr faster, instead of liandry. I know that maybe it's not the best way, but works way better for me, and I'm doing better with her than other people in my elo (which is gold btw)
