I think it was Franz Tost that use to say a young driver needed 3 years minimum in F1 to really be fully ready and capable. (Example, Yuki this year, year 3, vs the last 2 years.) Logan got 1.5 years. AND he was promoted from F2 at least a year early, his F2 campaign wasn’t great and everything pointed to him needing another season to really be ready to jump to F1. I remember thinking when he was announced as the new Williams driver that it was a mistake for Williams and Logan to have agreed to that deal. He’s not driven well the last year and a half, but I can’t help but wonder what he might have been capable of if he’d been given the time needed to really develop as a driver. Instead everyone is looking for the next Max Verstappen and won’t give young drivers the time they need. It will be interesting to see what this does to Colopinto!

That’s not true. Although the crash damage was a cost issue in the context of the budget cap Logan brought much more in terms of budget to the team. He wasn't just crap, but a financial burden as well. Logan Sargeant has been involved in several crashes during his F1 career, particularly in the 2023 season. Over the last 35 races, Sargeant has had a notably difficult time, accumulating a damage bill of approximately $4.33 million for his team, Williams. This makes him the driver with the highest damage costs on the grid for the 2023 season. The financial strain caused by these incidents has been a significant challenge for the team, especially under the constraints of the F1 cost cap. Sargeant's frequent crashes have not only impacted his performance but also placed a considerable burden on Williams, as they had to repeatedly allocate resources to repair the damages, which affected their ability to develop the car further during the season.

@@413TomaccoRoad yeah seems like Logan and his brother Dalton were able to buy their way into motorsports.. Nothing against them but it's not a good foundation for American success in F1

I don't quite understand the decision to put Colapinto into the seat to be honest. He will not be racing the Williams next year, so why not put someone more experienced into the car for the remainder of the season? Isn't it a bit risky to replace someone who crashed a bit too often with someone who has virtually no F1 experience at all? Anyways, great video as always, Kym! Have a great time in Monza!

Colapinto is only in for these races and then out again. SAINZ and Albon are the Williams drivers for the coming years. The Argentinians need to understand that. And yes Canapino and his fans were outrageous…. Unacceptable. And it had consequences
