Many men adore women like this at first, but over time, some men start feeling outshone by their woman and start trying to diminish her. Being confident enough to be unique is often a double-edged sword. Many people envy it and attack you for it.

Omg this is so true. They start to get egotistical and cut you down so they can level-up, so to speak. This is so common it’s sad.

@petras.85434 ай бұрын
This applies to women as much as men. Men, PLEASE dare to be your vulnerable, unique self! We have too many out there who are completely unremarkable because they try to fit some stupid stereotype. Be curious, be honest about your opinions, be a lifelong learner, and don't try to turn a woman into someone different than who you fell in love with. Allow her to remain an individual so she doesn't think she must 'shrink' herself to fit some expectation, thus losing herself in the relationship. Sending so much love ❤

I liked a guy once just for him being him. He is a wonderful human being. I realized one day I need to love, like, and admire myself as I do him. I now listen and take heart and show up loving myself not trying to be loved. When a man critique my personal individuality I realize I am not the one for him. I would have been happy standing in sewage fixing a septic system for that man with no complaints. Just proud to be next to him in his presence. So now I know that is what I look for in another person. Someone who likes me for me
@beaj.h.10173 ай бұрын
hey Susan, this is the truthful comment and most logic conclusion you have come to and share here. I would only like to add, that you would still have to love & like him as much as he would like & love you;-) Otherwise, you again would not be truly happy. And BTW you make the point, that all advices are slightly ideologic and do only work in a perfect connection of two people who really did have the luck in life to find each other and the beautiful chance, they were presented with did not get waisted.

I have been fiercely independent in the past. Feel it's something I had to learn through childhood that stayed with me. Since my break up with my abusive ex, I am learning to lean in and ask for help when needed and embrace help when offered. The first half of this vid I feel I am doing well. I have the right people around me to help me be uniquely me and express my needs, values and boundaries in healthy open ways.

@@jayneyost7110 Is it not astonishing? When I was ambulant, with chronic pain, often no-one knew because I learnt to adapt myself to achieve tasks. Anybody can have injury or illness to become less able physically. When younger, men pointed out I was not very pretty; I'd respond with something like "beauty is skin deep" or even "true beauty is inside" - soon determined who wanted to know me for myself rather than the rather awful media expression "eye candy". If we live long enough, decades tend to affect appearance ... true love persists in my opinion when soul alignment occurs Wishing you very well in all aspects of life including meeting future partner

And that's the sad reality of life. There are more women than men who are willing to fulfil that role. So it's always the woman who has to stand out,has to work on herself and better herself. Why don't we think: if there are not enough men, how can we encourage and find a way for men to better themselves? Maybe make x10, x100, x1000 more engaging videos for the men so they just stumble across them? Just a thought...
@BernMendez4 ай бұрын
Well… while there are definitely many men working towards being better humans you, as a woman, have two solid options if you want a relationship with a man: 1) Wait for that change to take place which might mean not getting what you want this time around or 2) Standing out which incidentally isn’t to catch a guy but to be your best self. Both options have good and bad things you get to make the choice. :)

I'm seeing the word "perfect" man a lot in these comments. There is no perfect man or woman on earth. Perhaps looking for or expecting "perfection" is a lot of people's problem. Of course you'll end up disappointed if you're seeking something that doesn't exist. Love is accepting one's humanity...which is imperfect and flawed.

@BernMendez4 ай бұрын
First off I'm deeply sorry you had a stroke. My only message is this: you are FAR MORE than a stroke victim, having had a stroke is a situation but doesn't define the totality of you. Is it harder to connect with someone? Absolutely, BUT it also weeds out anyone who is looking for a Barbie, superficial kind of connection. Your attractiveness is defined by many factors, including your confidence, your worth, your creativity, your connection with your emotions, your inner light, and your passion. Work on the things you have control over and don't let something that happened be the defining characteristic of you.
