"If I can't support myself, I can't think of committing to a woman" - this should be the motivating force for a man. However what I've seen in my past relationship is he would rather commit to being where he was (nowhere). This is especially the case if a man is exceptionally attractive. They'll take on a feminine strategy, and let their good looks get them who & what they want.

When a woman tries to talk to her husband it should be about how she feels personally not what he's doing that's irrelevant but how it makes her feel personally. I love and admire John Gray. And Michelle you are a wonderful, respectful host. I have a “similar” experience. I met someone and fell in love. At one point, a few years in, we were having about conversation about someone else. And he said “I can tell you one thing, I would never want to be a person you would want to be in a divorce with.”😮. He wanted marriage, I never married him, at the 7 year mark I knew there were things that were not acceptable. Happy I never married him.

Hi Dr Gray & Michelle I recently arrived at my 70 yrs young .lol. Ive been divorced since 95 .was engaged in 2007 I broke it off. My question is I can't seem to find men period , senior citizen. I don't like to go there lol. I'm looking for someone close to my age. They don't seem to be interested again I attend church all the time activities I'm a nice looking woman I have a lot to offer. Are you saying all men want younger women. Thus isn’t true at all. I’m a mature woman & lots of men are still interested in me. I’m not looking for a husband. Every woman isn’t looking for a hubby. I’ve done that. I don’t have an iterative in dating someone 30 years younger. But age isn’t as important as common interests. It’s society that frowns on age gaps.
