Once this technology is perfected, at least to the point that the glitches are ironed out, it will be the next big thing. What does it solve? Safety issues while driving since most people don’t follow that law very well, augmented reality issues, public communication issues and posture problems. Most everyone who already walks around with a phone will want a pair of these eventually. The new problem will be that everyone will be walking around with sunglasses. Hope I live long enough to get some AR contact lenses!

@shilohv I think when the police start rewarding people for submitting evidence of crimes, these devices will catch-on. This business model will rely on fining criminals/law-breakers and part of that fine compensating the supplier of the evidence. Clearly, law-breakers won't like this, but it should make people behave better.
